Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing, everything was perfect
This was our second stay at Casa El Morro. We usually never return to the same place twice, however this place is the exception to our rule. The minute we stepped foot back into the beautiful grounds, we knew we’d made the right decision - instant decompression. The peace, tranquility and stillness of Casa el Morro captured out hearts once again. We stayed in the yurt this time, what a magical tardis they have created here. Beautifully decorated in bold colours, waking up every morning felt dreamlike. We even watched the moon setting from our bed one very early morning! The yurt is set in its own private grounds, with a little kitchen diner, magnificent bathroom and a shaded area to kick back in. The pool area is stunning with plenty of day beds to get stuck into a good book, or close your eyes and listen to the breeze fluttering through the palms the beautiful garden. Spotting a theme here? We did little exploration, as this holiday was all about stopping and just being - a break from our hectic lives. It goes without saying that we did manage to get ourselves up to the local vineyards to sample their delights, and ate our fare share of tasty offerings in the sleepy little village of Uga

United KingdomVery peaceful and tasteful hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Room was really well decorated, and very homely. Breakfast was simple and rustic but perfect, delicious home made treats. Pool area was very quiet, often had it to ourselves, and great views. Would recommend, great location for exploring all of Lanzarote and away from windy beaches

United KingdomWe liked it all :)
Such a beautiful complex of apartments in a stunning and relaxed setting - what a find! A truly unique place. Both the cottage (we stayed in the 2 bedroom unit) and grounds were great and had such a lovely energy about it all. We loved the pool area with beds, and having our own patio. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind and as another guest reviewed, the whole place really does have a chilled and yoga vibe, which is exactly what we needed. The yoga classes were also amazing (highly recommend) along with all of the friendly staff. Also, we are vegan and they kindly provided soya milk so we could also have the breakfast, which was lovely, and a great plus when staying in a self contained unit. Our cottage was also cleaned half way through our trip which was very kind. Check in/out was simple and communication was great. We would highly recommend to anyone, and I’m sure we will all be returning :)

NetherlandsSoft and squeaky beds. The rooms needed airing but as there are no nets at the windows we got mosquitos in. We did get bed nets provided for the kids when asked, but we felt that one needs to compromise between a hot room or more mosquitoes if windows open, so we didn't sleep that comfortably. TV didn't work properly (was replaced in the 3rd day) and wifi coverage sketchy in our room.
Fantastic property in a great, somewhat secluded and very peaceful location. I could have spent an entire day on the terrace, garden or by the pool. The view is quite unique. Rich breakfast and really attentive and helpful staff. We had some small issues and they were prompt in solving them.

Really lovely and leafy surroundings with a Lovely cottage with ample room and comfy beds. The terrace was very large. Inside was quite dark but this did stop you from being too hot. Pool very nice with great day beds. And very close to nearby village Uga which had one particular lovely restaurant serving great food! A lot of other nearby restaurants seemed closed. Great host Raquel and her friend, they helped a lot with booking taxis and restaurant bookings if we needed them.
