Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe owner Ibrahim and his staff were amazing and made us feel so welcome. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful garden area. Our room was lovely and we were offered use of the kitchen to make drinks whenever we wanted. Breakfast was lovely with a range of meat, cheese, fruits, cereal and yoghurt. Overall we have had a wonderful stay at Casa Jazmin and would recommend it to anyone looking for a break away in beautiful surroundings.

IrelandCreating a vibe in a place is more than the sun of the individual parts. This place and it’s beautiful garden has a clear vision. Doesn’t try too hard. And provides a home away from home. Really. And therefore attracts a similar kind of folk. Just lovely.

AustraliaWe were disappointed not to meet Ibrahim as he sounds quite a character and we were looking forward to learning more about Orgiva and the surrounding area from him, but I believe he has to be away for family matters which happens. On arrival we had to let ourselves in and find our room and didn’t see anyone until Lenka arrived in the morning. There are a few cats around and I’m allergic to them but it was ok as they’re usually in the garden. Occasionally they’ll try and sneak in to see you in your room but you can just shoo them away.
Lovely traditional Spanish home in great location at the top of town with nice views over the town to the mountains. It’s in the old part of town which is much nicer than the new, we had fun exploring all the little back streets behind the house . Lovely sunny well maintained garden to sit and have breakfast. Nice rooms, traditional style which I like and everything was very clean. Ours was the small double overlooking the garden, it was nice and light facing east so we got morning sun. If you want space though and a larger bed try and book one of the larger rooms. We stayed 2 nights. In the mornings Lenka comes to prepare a nice buffet breakfast , she is lovely, speaks great English and is chatty and helpful. I also liked that we could use the kitchen anytime to make tea. Would thoroughly recommend Baraka restaurant only a few minutes walk away, we ate there twice . There’s also a pizza place that looks nice tucked away in the old town. Can recommend staying here.

United KingdomWe had no hot water but owner was away with family emergency so didn’t raise as an issue at time & had we raised it sooner sure it would have been resolved quickly whilst we were there (we can cope with a cold shower so not a major issue for us)
Little oasis on outskirts of Orgiva, lovely pool, quiet location, lovely breakfast. Great location for exploring mountains! Had the room with balcony, light bright & spacious. Balcony lovely though could do with a bit of a clean & some better furniture to fully appreciate the wonderful space & views across to the mountains - cushions for chairs (third chair broken) would be a good start! Couple of sunloungers would be even better!!

Czech RepublicLittle I can think of - I think some of the old local drains perhaps need a bit of flushing out as smells did waft occasionally. But nothing else.
This is a tiny hidden sanctuary, beautiful garden and pool which was a delight during the heat wave. The host Ibrahim is a wonderful host, not just welcoming and helpful with practicalities but he creates a restful ambience with a flow of soft Arabic, Sufi & fusion music and mantras wafting through the greenery and a splendid, slow, relaxed breakfast buffet of local fresh foods that kept me going for hours. It was one of the few places I could afford and was excellent value; the rooms are simple, tradtional Andalusian-style twhitewash & tiled, with Ibrahim's carefully chosen art works. I recommend this for anyone transitionain gback to their busy life after a retreat or yoga week, it was a wonderful place to simply be and read, study, swim and take walks out of town up into the hills nearby. It is near to the sweet Saint Sebastien Shrine and a walk from the cemetery, which is an extrarodinary palce for non-Spanish guests not familiar with this style of burial, a hill top peace spot and vista.

DenmarkThe neighbour can be a bit grumpy if you park more than 2 min in front of the door to drop your luggage, so be fast.
It feels like a home away from home, with the nicest host. He gave us a lot of local information and was always available. Even when we left he continued giving us great tips for the rest of our trip. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast is also nice and the pool is a great plus in this area.
