Having to leave

Lovely breakfast in a lovely setting, peaceful and joyous. The host was very attentive and accommodating to our needs, whether it was more coffee or information regarding places to go. Loved it !!

We requested a vegan breakfast and Paul was very kind to do his best to make us happy. In many ways Paul is an amazing host. We felt like in a home yet in a little paradise.

I loved the hospitality of Paul, the scenery and the incredible breakfast every morning! It's the best for relaxing and enjoying the evening in peace, under a beautiful sky full of stars. When you have a car, it's an easy drive to Málaga, Córdoba and Granada, as well as the beautiful small villages in the neigbourhood.

Staying at Casa La alegria was such a pleasure.. Idyllic villa with great host, very helpful and sweet🙂 Spending a few days there he made us feel so welcome, the day we left we felt like saying goodbye to a dear old friend! We would definetely stay again given tha chance to visit the area again. The villa is very well situated - Malaga, Granada, Ronda and Caminito del Rey are alll close, so one can visit everything around. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The restaurant La Paloma was also very good. Thank you very much and if you ever happen to be in Bulgaria we would be delighted to see you again!

It was a very pleasant and quiet stay, We were taken care of from the first minute. Fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was very tasty and rich.

It’s a cosy, welcoming slice of tranquillity. We met Paul who was very welcoming. Our room was a cosy retreat with bathrobes, tea and coffee and biscuits. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were a good size and lovely and fluffy. The room is in a converted stable, where’s there’s also a comfortable sitting area with a log burner for those cold nights. Just outside is a lovely sitting area, perfect for a glass of wine or sun downer. We enjoyed Paul’s cooking. A fabulous 3 course meal. Paul checked out our preferences beforehand. Wine can be purchased for a very reasonable price. Breakfast is continental with a lot of homemade products.

Our stay at Casa la Alegria was just wonderful - we felt comfortable from the first second and were warmly welcomed by Paul and Jon. The decor is very tasteful and you find everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Breakfast and dinner were prepared with a lot of love and many fresh products from the region or from their own garden. Paul even made us a fresh juice for breakfast from pomegranates that he had previously harvested. Something like that is not to be taken for granted and we appreciated it very much. We will definitely come back and are happy to have met these two very special people. Definitely an enrichment in our lives. Thank you for everything, Corina & Franz

My stay at Casa la Alegria was perfect and went far beyond my expectations. Everything was amazing: the rural, quiet and relaxing atmosphere of this beautiful place not far from some of the most beautiful cities in Andalucia (Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Malaga); the warmness, helpfullness and kindness of the two owners Paul and Jon: the love and passion they put in this activity is diffusive; the food (Paul is such a great chef!), the relaxing and friendly environment, the cleaness, and the attention to every detail to make you feel most welcome and comfortable.

very nice small pool with perfect privacy. Can never be crowded, only two rooms. Paul is a nice host. Ideally located to explore the region. Honesty bar is available.
