attractive renovation of 200 year old stone building. sitting room and breakfast dining room. fruit, ham, cheese, fresh orange juice with coffee. Briones is a wine centre and traditional Rioja town excellent for exploring the region.

Marie Cruz and her husband are very friendly and helpful. A comfy country house on the edge of the village, we would definitely stay again when in La Rioja. Breakfast was a fantastic start to the day!

We were very surprised with this little hotel.For the price, we really didn't have our hopes set too high. But from the moment we arrived and met the lovely hostess, Maria Cruz, we knew we had stumbled upon a real gem.Her welcome was warm and genuine, but what struck me, as we were shown to our room, was the sparkling clean state of the whole establishment, truly no dust, cobwebs or nasty corners anywhere.And after a great night's sleep, we were treated to a top class breakfast, with peeled fresh fruit, local meats and cheeses, washed down with piping hot coffee.What a great start to any day!

Wifi signal in the room was poor and not dependable. The host showed us the room and left us right away to go to a family function, so didn't offer any information about local attractions or where to eat. She assumed we would know. It would have been helpful to learn about the restaurant services and schedules in the area, which are peculiar at best. Once we figured out these basics, everything went well, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again.

The room was spacious, the area was really calm, and breakfast was nice, though for an extra charge. They make you feel at home.

I stayed here to break a car journey from Valencia to Santander. It was easy to find, ample car parking, friendly welcome, clean, plenty of character and provided everything I needed plus a peaceful, well-kept garden in which I relaxed with a glass of local wine. Breakfast was adequate.

We had to have our evening meal in a neighbouring village as the local restaurants were closed for the Kings festival.

We stayed for one night on a cross-country trip from Bilbao to Barcelona, in January. We were looking for a comfortable overnight stop. Everything was scrupulously clean, the furniture and floors were polished to a high sheen, the bedroom was warm and cosy. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice, local cheeses and hams, croissants and homemade grape jam. We arrived in the evening and left soon after breakfast but the village and surroundings looked lovely for future exploration.

Using the car navigator leads you to the backyard of the house. No big deal, just a little bit inconvenient.

The house is situated in the middle of 'La Rioja' at the foot of the beautiful old village of Briones. If you don't mind walking over the narrow but steep streets you will find everything in this place on walking distance. Very nice room, clean, beautiful plants outside. Very good service attitude of the owners. Delicious breakfast, we enjoyed every moment!

Everything was perfect and charming! This was exactly what we were looking for! A family run hotel with special attention given to all the guests. Treated like family! Spotless and comfortable. Loved staying in Briones…able to visit other areas but come back to a relaxing and quiet environment! Easy to find with a great restaurant across the street. Breakfast was great with a personal touch!

Nothing to dislike. I am not sure about the common room(s). They were not explained to us. We did not need them. There was a lounge in front of the breakfast room. Was this for guests? There was also a smaller one upstairs. Was this for guests?

An exceedingly good value for money hotel. Spotlessly clean, very nice owner. Breakfast not elaborate but excellent value for money.

Everything was good.

La signora greeted us so warmly and the B and B was immaculately clean and full of character. Our room was very attractive with lovely comfortable beds and crisp , cotton bedding. We enjoyed breakfast and parking was no problem.

It was rather dark. Rather noisy at times from the road

We asked for an early breakfast and they were very obliging and even filled my thermos with coffee for our trip! A very lively and cheap place to eat 'over the road'.
