Back to the bathroom smell issue, the shower drain is disgusting, I dont know how anyone never mentioned it, we truly saw lots of hairs accumulated below the object they use at the drain top, and after removing the object we could see why it's there, because the smell was even stronger coming from the drains. Well, after the shower hairs disappointment, I was not expecting for a bigger one, but unfortunately the pool was unusable, with visible hairs on the top and dust on the bottom, not to say the also visible oil that the pool had mixed, probably sunscreen from previous custommers, this pool definetly need an improvement on the filtering, the thing that is there floating is probably outdated or insufficient. Thankfully we arrived during the day to be able to visually see all that dirty pool, because it was another disgusting moment of the stay. Well, let's continue, we then decided to at least cook a nice meal for our celebration, and that's when after 3 minutes (TRULY) of a food being prepared in the bench, we noticed LOTS really LOTS of ants coming to the food. No picture could be taken at this time because the light at the kitchen is just a joke, you have to survive with the little light on the top of the cooktop that is not enough. But well, on the morning we could notice where the ants where coming from as you could notice their nest in between the kitchen bench (if the ant spray available at the kitchen is offered as a solution to guests that complain during stay, host could really work on finding better solutions to actually elimanate the issue). No idea how guests sleep here in summer peak, because the fan that have a water vapor system is also not enough (also the system do not hold much water so it ends in the middle of the night, and also leaks a lot).
I actually feel very sad writing this very descritive negative review, because I usually do not have to do it with the places that I carefully choose for my stays. But unfortunately I was not a lucky one amongst all these good reviews, and truly feel like sharing this, not with the purpose to diminish the other reviews and this stay, but to be a bit more truthfull with anyone that like me didnt expected such a disappointing experience. I booked this stay for the night before my birthday, and unfortunately all the purposes that I had could not be acomplished (original purpose was to have a relaxing stay and enjoying the pool). To start with arriving, make sure you synchronize very well with your estimated time of arrival, the door is unlocked by the host remotely, with the keys inside. Even tho days before arriving, I had previously questioned if I could maybe check-in as soon as possible, but due to a delay in a cycling adventure I immediately shared with the host at 12h that would not need to rush, and we ended arriving 16h anyway (official 1st time for check-in). When arriving and first priority after the adventure being the shower, our disappointment started, the bathroom would stink and the towels were wet. Contacting the host about towels, he said that should have other towels available in a cupboard, which were not there (just pool towels) and he also shared that the reason for this was because probably the housekeeping was rushed from my "enter as soon as possible" request of days before, even tho I shared by 12h that I would not be there anywhere early and they had lots of time to do everything with no rush (also no need to compromise the quality of your service for a customer’s request). We had to wait to shower for the towels hanged outside to dry a bit. CONTINUES...

Netherlands16 reviews1 helpful vote“Nice place to stay if you need to be in Pedroso”It was below our expectations. Maybe we had too high expectations. The bed is sober. We hoped to use the stove but no wood. Finally Pedroso on a Tuesday in November is not the best day to visit.
