Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe hosts are superb - the best and friendliest of all the people I have every stayed with. The food was outstanding - a true chef. But again I repeat, the warmth, kindness and friendliness of the owners cannot be matched. They should raise their prices - a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. We had to return as my husband forgot his cell phone. This game me a chance to ask about wineries and we got terrific recommendations and ended up buying an excellent wine.

SpainVery friendly and open owners of a very cosy little hotel! Very delicious breakfast with home made and local food. An opportunity to ask for a fixed menu dinner. Don't miss it - that's delicious. Very comfortable sleep in a good quality and very nicely prepared beds. Loved the attention to little details: anti mosquito nets on windows, nice beds, comfortable salon, undoubtedly clean everywhere etc Great opportunity to hike around and get away from a big city. Good selection of wines is available on site as well, so you can treat it as a wine hotel as well :). Definitely recommend and we'll return.

United KingdomSuch a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful with a wonderful outside area where we could relax. I would highly recommend eating at the hotel, the owner is a fantastic chef and all the food was hand made and sourced locally, washed down with a Rioja of course all included in the price of the amazing food.

DenmarkThe village is perfect, so idyllic, so quiet, very small and rural, everything you need for a break from the city…. But with this comes no shops or cafes and after we had just done a very long journey it would be nice to of had water in our room or maybe a central fridge where everyone can take what they need (water/ beer) and mark it next to your room number or something, I don’t know. We were very lucky our hosts helped us with everything when we arrived but we felt so bad for disrupting them, they didn’t mind but a drinks fridge (like a mini bar type thing) would of helped. Definitely not a criticism but maybe a warning to others that there are no shops or places to buy anything within 25/30 minutes of the accommodation.
I genuinely don’t know how to say how exceptional this hotel is. The husband wife duo are a dream team, the place is heaven, the rooms are so quiet although you can be woken by the free roaming cows wearing bells which is the nicest way to wake up. The beds are so comfortable, lots of pillows if needed, long (my husband is 2m tall), so perfect in every way. The windows all have mosquito nets on so you can enjoy the fresh mountain air at night. Showers are powerful. Now for the food; we genuinely felt like we were eating food from an undiscovered Michelin chef, it’s just beyond delicious, every course, every mouthful is superb, all the ingredients is sourced locally and the yoghurt and jams etc is homemade. I highly recommend dinner, we ate here both nights and cannot fault a single thing. The breakfast is everything you need for a long day ahead, the coffee is excellent, if like us you’ve been travelling this is very welcomed, you get everything, home made pastries, juice, yoghurt, freshly made eggs the way you wish, everything is magnificent about this property and an added bonus is you truly unwind, you can actually hear the silence. I wish them every success. They both were so kind to our kids (5&7) they hated leaving, especially leaving the dog! Thank you for wonderful memories.

SwedenCan't think of anything.
We can't praise this accommodation highly enough, simply outstanding! Naquela is perfect whether you go there for a weekend getaway, use it as a base for exploring Rioja vineyards or for exploring the surrounding nature. It's located in a beautiful picturesque small village, which basically lies where the road ends and the forest begins. There's lush forest, mountains and hills right at your doorstep, so peaceful and quiet. Still just a short drive to some of the best vineyards in Rioja! The owners, Ale and Sol, are so warm, kind and welcoming, you can't ask for better hosts, simply the best! We decided on staying at Naquela to visit some vineyards and exploring Rioja wines. We stayed there for three nights in total. Didn't know too much about the region beforehand and had planned to just go to Haro and take it from there. Instead we ended up going to some smaller vineyards that Ale had recommended and it turned out to be a great experience. One of the reasons we decided going to the north of Spain was for the great cuisine. We decided to have dinner at Naquela the first night and were really impressed. It turned out Ale was a chef, and a really good one as well! We couldn't resist having every dinner at Naquela and are happy we did. Breakfast was also really good!

NetherlandsWe hoped to have been a bit more in the vineyards, but the accommodation lies a bit too high for that. Also given that there are a lot of cows in the region, there were quite some flies. Luckily, the house is kept clear of those flies by the screens in front of the windows.
The staff, the food and the garden! At the end of a road in the vineyards next to Logrono, you drive up the hills, out of the vineyards and into Casto Viejo. In the small town, you find la Faculdad. The house is fine, but the garden and the view from it are the cherries on the pie. We spend a lot of time sitting in the garden, enjoying the view and the sun. Also you absolutely need to take the dinner, the hosts are really good at what they are doing (Ale used to be a chef) so don't miss out. The breakfast is by the way also really good!

PolandWe liked absolutely everything. It was such a great experience to visit this typical rural village of La Rioja. The property is surrounded by mountains, forests and gives a 100% feeling of peacefulness in a rural environment. Cows and sheep are all around - you feel like their guest in the mountain. Regarding the property it was also amazing, very beautiful views from the bedroom, comfortable beds, beautiful garden and super good breakfast made with all local ingredients. On top of that the owners are a lovely couple, always very helpful, positive minded and passioned about the region and it’s amazing wines. The restaurant serves high quality food with very good local wine. Totally recommendable to everyone seeking peacefulness and great gastronomy.
