Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicBathroom was a bit on a colder side but weather generally wasn't the warmest during our stay. Also.in our room bathroom was separated from the rest of the room just by the glass wall - we prefer bit more privacy :) But otherwise very satisfied
Very friendly and welcoming host, amazing breakfast for additional cost (but well worth it). Nice little village with friendly people and nice restaurant not far from the property.

SingaporeNothing whatsoever. Loved the peace and quiet of the countryside, without deviating from our planned route. Such a gem!
Although not originally on our itinerary, we booked Casa Rural Lakoak as a stop between San Sebastian and Zaragoza, and what a happy surprise it turned out to be! We were charmed by both the wine-making history of the house as well as the hospitality of both the staff and residents of this little town, who took us on an impromptu tour despite us not speaking each other's language (thank you, Google translate!) The bedrooms were just lovely, and the breakfast was a feast in itself, both in quality and taste! Dinner was in the next town, but literally a 6 minute walk away, and fabulous as well.

DenmarkThe village was quite dead so bring your own entertainment - even the larger city some 8 km from the hotel was also boring. We found one open bar after 10 pm - where the bartender was quite drunk and mixed up all orders - this was the only entertainment
This small hotel was a modernized very old townhouse. Exploring the house was almost a little adventure in itself. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Our host had left a couple bottles of cava and water which became us good after our long drive. Lovely breakfast in the morning round up our nice stay. Parking was just outside the door, which was perfect. BTW the hosts were really kind and service minded

We liked that the two bedrooms were separated by a long corridor thereby providing privacy for our family. The beds were great and oh so comfy. We were grateful for the welcome gift as well. Very thoughtful, thank you. The bathroom was spacious, too. The air conditioning was super helpful in that heatwave! Staff was friendly.

United KingdomEverything was perfect.
House was very unusual with a combination or old and very modern features. The owner gave us water, beer and also a little bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary on arrival. The owner went to the trouble of booking the local restaurant for us and even contacted me to discuss breakfast the following morning which was very thoughtful! There were two of us couples travelling on motor bikes and they offered for us to keep the bikes securely locked in their garage which was gratefully accepted.

United KingdomDifferent pillows would have been good as well as a useable wifi connection
The property was a mixture of a museum with the old wine brewing rooms being featured with antiques and were very special to see and the B&B rooms which had been tastefully refurbished with modern fixtures and fittings. The only thing that let it down was the wifi access which was non existent. However, the couple who run the business, the home has been in the family for generations, were excellent

United KingdomThere are no facilities in the village. The nearest shop/bar/restaurant is in Tafalla. Not normally a problem but a bit more of an issue when it means going back out on the bike. tafalla only 8 mins away though.
