Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainMinor things. There was no breadboard in the kitchen. The lounge light was too bright for evening relaxing and the corner light too dim.
Quaint and charming. Antonio was lovely and helpful. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cut our stay and leave a day earlier unfortunately. The spa was cosy and warm. There were one or two minor problems that Antonio fixed immediately. The room was warm and the views were stunning.

United KingdomThe sound of the stars at night were deafening! ;-)
The hotel is a little gem hidden away in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The owners of the hotel are masters of their field who have perfected the balance between making you feel welcome and cared for without imposing. Comfortable bed, stunning views, and a charming underground spa with everything you need to unwind and relax after walking the route called Las Acequias de Mecina Bomberon, which begins a few meters from the door of the hotel. It takes around 3.5 hrs if you do the full circular route. Don´t miss it- it´s spectacular! It follows the water all the way round, and just keeps on giving! There are 2 little bars in the village that are lovely to have a cold beer overlooking the mountain range, but the food isn´t winning a Michelin star anytime soon.... so I recommend going to the town next door to eat, or bring food with you to cook in the apartment, there´s a little shop but it´s limited and very expensive. Can´t recommend this place enough, if you´re a nature lover looking to disconnect then there´s no better place!

United KingdomThat I didn’t have time to stay longer.
It is located in the Sierra Nevada and has great views. I went to relax and recharge my batteries, which I did. The beautiful spa was wonderful and had a massage there as well. I left refreshed and rejuvenated. I had a wonderful friendly welcome from Antonio and his wife. Parking was just outside the front door and there was a smart tv so could easily watch Netflix/YouTube/Spanish TV. They are goodI walks locally to enjoy the scenery. thoroughly recommend this spa hotel.

United KingdomWe were seeking a place away from the touristy hustle and bustle, where we could enjoy living as part of a village community while enjoying the natural landscape of the area. Our other consideration was that we were looking for a long stay for close to 3 months over the summer period so the accommodation needed to be able to cater for this too. We were not disappointed at all, the apartment was more than adequate for our needs. The village itself is in the national park and the wider area is very beautiful, with most day to day facilities either within the village itself or wider choices being a 15-20 minute drive. Granada or the coast are also easily accessible via the good network of roads. We have to mention the owners Antonio and Rosario who went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable and welcoming and received us almost as family members!

NetherlandsThe only restaurant in town was not open during our stay, but you can get some food at the local bar. All people we met were amazing and super friendly. If you're looking for a proper meal, make sure to visit the supermaket across the street in time so you can cook in the apartment. The kitchen is well equiped with pots and pans, but lacks basics such as oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea.
The warm welcome was incredible. You feel at home immediately! In the room, or rather the apartment, you'll find information about the area, such as hikes and activities. And the area is beautiful indeed, which you'll realise straight away with the amazing view from the window. If you love nature and hiking, this place is for you! We also enjoyed the sauna area, which is open from 6 to 8 pm and you can enjoy for 10 euros pp.

SpainThe Air-conditioning was insufficient for August. (Under floor cooling?) Insufficient number of Sun shades around the Poolside. Pool and Jacuzzi water was far too cold for comfort.

GermanyMecina-Bombaron is a small authentic village or town but has very few facilities, like no restaurants and except for daily shopping in one of the two supermercados one needs to drive for other needs like post office or eating out...
Antonio and his wife Rosi were really warm & welcoming host's and the spa & sauna was great.
