The advertised apartment looked substantially bigger that the the actual room . We expected a larger room

The message with the description of the procedure to obtain the keys was sent to a wrong e-mail. The host does not speak English and he was a little bit arrogant with foreigners which speak English and not so good Spanish. The promised free parking close to the appartment was not true, we had to pay extra for a nearby parking.

Lots of stairs—no elevator. One nice but small bathroom for all guests. You have to stick your head out the window and look down the street for the sea view. Airflow through common areas was great with front and rear windows open, but bedrooms were stuffy—only one had a window. Many of the glasses and utensils in the kitchen cabinets were dirty. 🙁

Photos in the listing are from multiple apartments—ours was on the 3a planta (4th floor in U.S.). It was very close to waterfront restaurants and historic sights. Easy check-in and the building felt safe. Good water pressure and hot water in the shower. It is a good space for low-maintenance travelers.

Didn’t receive access details until very last minute which was slightly anxiety inducing. Basic items you’d expect in a kitchen weren’t there - kettle or chopping board. We arrived in 38 degree heat and despite being listed as available there were no fans. The owner didn’t respond when I messaged to ask about this.

Finding the property was awfully difficult. There is no sign outside the property and the map info is wrong. I rang the number online which was answered but I don’t speak Spanish and they didn’t speak English. In the end I had to take a photo of the door to ask if it was the correct door! We couldn’t use the code to get in but luckily someone came out of the property allowing us entry to the 2nd floor flat. The key safe did work at this point and entry was easy. There is no lift so be prepared to carry your luggage up a lot of flights of stairs.

Poor communication led to a frustrating check in. After 2 previous requests for details of how to check in, somewhat unclear instructions were sent 4 minutes prior to our arrival at the apartment. Not an enjoyable experience after a 5-hour drive with 2 young children. Two requests for parking information had also been unanswered and then incorrect pricing given (for information, not €12/day as stated but €17:40 for less than a day). A minor detail perhaps but no sockets in the kitchen to plug in the coffee machine supplied so had to put it on the floor in another area, and then it didn't appear to work. No kettle so water had to be boiled in a saucepan for a hot drink. Part of the shower screen was missing so it was very difficult to avoid wetting bathroom floor. Netting covering the building due to building works meant the balcony doors were unopenable, therefore one bedroom was completely unventilated. With no A/C this made the temperature quite uncomfortable. It was not a major issue but I was disappointed that we were not advised of this.

Uncomfortable mattresses. Misrepresentation of sea view. Because you have to hang out the balcony for a partial view. Difficulty in accessing the building because they sent the complex instructions via email on the day of checkin from an unfamiliar phone number. Be prepared.

I have checked since we've been and the property is advertised with parking. There is parking outside but you have to pay through the day or an underground car park approximately 300m away that costs 16 euros per day. It needs to be explicit if you have to pay for parking. Whilst the facilities felt recently improved, our one observation is that this is not the sort of place you want to self cater from. The fridge was new. The microwave was new. Everything felt new, but the kitchen area felt very cramped because of the roof space.

Once we'd made contact with the host/owner by phone, it was easy. I had not checked my phone before calling him and he had already sent the details by text. He had a very helpful contact who lives in the block of apartments who saw us in. We really like the location. Very close to the sea front. The property is secure. It is part of approx 10 apartments. Our apartment felt as if it had renovated recently. The facilities were comfortable and very clean. Very good bathroom. We were on the top floor of 5 in the roof space.
