How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was quite small but very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Modern and well decorated. Beautiful bathroom. Great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect location

All the receptionists and the staff were outstanding: most welcoming, very knowledgeable and helpful with directions and recommendations about touristic sites.

My room was a handicap room, don't know why. So I didn't like that. Also, my room was on the main street and was quite loud at almost all hours. Air conditioning wasn't the best, even in May when it's not that warm. Breakfast room was small so I had set hours I could eat. No hot water pot in the room. Price was pretty expensive for the stay to be honest.
The location was very good, centrally located and just 5 minute walk to the metro station as well as one of the main squares. Room was spacious. Breakfast was Ok with decent options. Amenities were very good in the room. Check in and out was very fast.

There was nothing to dislike.
Perfect location. Someone on reception 24h a day so no stress. Left our bags at reception both before check in and after checking out so everything was easy. Good choice for breakfast and someone to help in the room if needed.

Safe in room did not work, nor did the phone when I tried to contact reception to report the safe not working. Safe was not fixed and phone was removed but never replaced (not that we needed it!)
Hotel location excellent. Staff really friendly and helpful. Good value for money to stay in centre of the city.

The breakfastroom is so tiny and you really need to book a spot in advance. You're on holiday, so if you want to sleep late, you want to sleep late... Maybe you can offer breakfast in the room, take-away (to the room maybe) or work together with a breakfast spot nearby.
Breakfast was basic but nice. The location is perfect! The bike rental was very convenient. The personel was really helpful with booking taxis and anwser all of our questions.

Could have done with coffee/ tea in the room especially with the price of room. It's something I did forget to check when booking but I travel a lot and this is first time it hasn't come as standard in a place I've stayed. Needs lock on bathroom door. Couldn't control air-conditioning which made room to warm.
Good central location Didn't have much dealings with staff but found them polite and friendly to deal with. Good selection for breakfast.

Nothing really, it was just what we needed for our week stay on a winter break.
What did we like?.....pretty much everything! Hotel in brilliant location for walking into the centre or venturing further with buses or metro. Hotel room good and quiet and bed and pillows extremely comfy. Great shower too.Breakfast (which was included in our stay) was lovely and has sufficient choice for everyone. Breakfast room quite small but there is a rota for breakfast time for guests which eliminates everyone arriving at the same time and causing queues. The staff are very cheerful, friendly and most helpful. Thoroughly enoyed our stay here and would definitely to come back.

This is the noisiest hotel in my life, it is impossible to sleep, the building is old, there is no isolation from the street. It feels like you are sleeping in a tunnel where football fans are walking and screaming in crowds. Inside the building the noise is just as loud, you can hear every person on the floor in the corridor. It was almost two sleepless nights because of the noise everywhere. In the morning we felt completely exhausted due to constantly waking up at night.
Excellent location, the entire city center is nearby. In terms of price/quality ratio, the room is excellent, considering that it is in the very center of the city.
