Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Kingdom- Key for the front door did not work properly on several occasions. Needs to be replaced or repaired. - No one replied to my messages on here, unclear check in instructions. We had to just guess what to do.

SpainAll communications were unsatisfactory. We booked through Booking and we provided the requested information to Booking. When I phoned the number provided I got an answering machine and no-one phoned me back. Worse still having refused to provide the entry codes putting us to great inconvenience they also refused to reimburse us. Shocking.
We were refused access. We paid, provided copies of our passports and provided our NIE numbers but the owners wouldn't provide us with the access codes. So there is nothing I like about this apartment. I hope others do better.

United KingdomThe aircon was a large unit in the living area which was very loud and was more like a fan. It was very hot in the bedroom so tried sleeping with the window open but it was very noisy outside till about 3am.
It’s location was very good. Communication from the owners was good.

United KingdomThe ‘hoops’ one had to go through to complete the digital check-in and get the access code would deter me from staying again. So too would be the one air conditioning machine located in the lounge which did not work but was very noisy!
Location was a redeeming feature and proximity to public parking.

IrelandThe air conditioning wasn’t working for the entirety of our 2 day stay. Despite raising it with the hosts we were to they couldn’t get the part to fix it which wasn’t true. Duct tape had come loose at the back of the unit which doesn’t require heavy engineering. Apartment stiflingly warm as a result and hosts hopeless

RussiaIt was hard to park nearby. You should use an app Telpark and it's better to reserve parking before coming there. The door to the bathroom was broken. The check-in process wasn't smooth. The front wooden door wasn't open and we were waiting for instructions about that.

SpainThere was a foul smell in the bathroom (apartment Europa) and we had to keep the door closed and the fan on during the entire stay. The kitchen was poorly equipped (compared to other similar apartments where I have stayed in the past). The corkscrew was broken, the toaster didn´t work, there was not a single supply available in the kitchen - such as salt or pepper.
Very good location, on one of the main squares, in the heart of the city. Good size apartment with nice, comfortable bedroom. Very good quality windows - no outside noise in spite of the fact that the windows were facing busy streets with bars and weekend crowds. Very good communication with the host prior to arriving.
