What a fantastic Hotel in a fantastic location just 300 yards from the Central Square in Valdepenas which had lots of bars restaurants cafes and shops - amazing value for money hotel with it's own underground car park and dog friendly

We knew it reviewed well but even so we were still not prepared for such a lovely relaxed welcome and our spotless surroundings, possibly the cleanest room/bathroom ever . We loved the location opposite one of if not the best breakfast spots in Valdepeñas. Great to be able to park the car and leave it safely in the hotel car park for only 7 euros a night . Car park not really suitable for big 4x4 , but then big cars are not really suitable for many of Spain’s small towns . As far as were concerned Hotel Central was 10/10 . Then I had a problem and the lady who checked us in but who also cleaned rooms and the owner stepped in the breach - both on their phones seeking advice . The next thing the owner is driving me to a health centre where despite having forgotten my European Health Card - I saw a doctor apologised for being an idiot , got a prescription and he then insisted on taking me to the Farmacia. Talk about going above and beyond.

Demolition work next door spoilt the appearance Hotel appears to be closed but walk up the right hand steps, press the entry system bell and reception will say ‘push the door. Go up to first floor to find reception next to the lift. Quaint, but once inside it’s very clean and comfortable. No breakfast now available and the cafe opposite doesn’t open until 09.30 on Saturday so had to wait for breakfast until we found a decent motorway bar. Cafe opposite currently has table and chairs in the edge of the road due to pandemic making turn out of underground garage with a very steep slope, difficult but at least the car is out of the sun and safe.

Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff who all spoke at least some English. Very handy for a fairly short walk into the lovely main square surrounded by bars and with an excellent restaurant just around one corner of it, which unusually for Spain, opens as early as 19.30!! On a Friday evening this, and the square was very busy with family outings.

Air Con was a little loud. Hairdryer didn't work but they brought me a new one very quickly.

Clean and confortable, great location. The bathroom was recently renovated. the rooms are very dark if you close the window shutters, it helped me sleep being jet lagged

Nothing to do with the hotel, but confusing street diversions in the middle of Valdepeñas meant a lot of circling around was required before arriving at my destination.

Very nice, centrally located hotel. Very friendly host/manager. Could not have been helpful. Assisted me while parking in the underground garage. No breakfast in hotel, but a superb café across the street. A comfortable night's stay.

Hotel in centre of town with very useful underground parking. Spacious room and bathroom with good quality linen and furnishings, all very clean. Disappointed that due to COVID the restaurant was not able to open. Very helpful, friendly staff. Would certainly recommend the property.

The hotel is not 'dog friendly' as they advertise, but they tolerate dogs. The car park is extremely tight for anyone driving a car larger than a small hatchback. The staff were mainly surly and distant.

They did not want to accept pets despite saying they did take pets … only accept a small dog under 10 kg I cancelled my reservation and I called them to say I needed them to cancel on booking.com - they didn’t understand and 5 days later I got charged the full amount!

The room was just a standard room. Nothing special. The bed springs were warn out. There was no way to chill our wine. There was no coffee in the hotel. The room was small. The hair dryer broke. I don't know how this hotel got such a high rating.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The shower was good.

the property is great but I got a parking ticket on the road opposite for not displaying a ticket. However you can put 6 euro coins in the envelope they supply with the ticket and pop it in the box.
