How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location is perfect. There are many supermarkets around the corner. It’s near the market. There’s a bus station nearby. It was always clean. The stuff was super friendly.

Nothing negative, maybe a proper curtain would be nice. That one I had in my room (room 5) did not make a difference.
I liked the place. Very organised. Clean and tidy.

The bed was a little bit uncomfortable, but everything else was very good
Nice room in a very good location. The shared bathrooms and kitchen were tidy and every item you need in everydays life was there.

Ideal location in Alicante, the room was clean, double and single bed. Lots of shared bathrooms all very clean and well stocked. Kitchen area with individual sections for each room.

Our room was closer to the street where outside noise could pervade pretty easily through the walls, however, earplugs were provided and if we were in the rooms deeper into the b&b that likely wouldn’t have been such a big deal.
Great location between historical sites and the beach, very sizable and comfortable room. The fish tank was a very cute touch.

Very big room, spotlessly clean, all facilities provided, right behind Alicante Central market. 12 min walk to the beach. Excellent neighborhood. Paid luggage storage on-site.

This is really a minor comment, it would be great if there were slippers in the room, so that if you need to go to the bathroom, balcony, kitchen etc. Just note, if you have the window open you may hear some noise, but you've chosen to stay near the centre of Alicante so what would you expect!
Good location, clean, comfy and close to the centre of Alicante. Communication was good and the self-check in process was very easy. Great value for money. For its price range, it's very good quality. The bed was very comfy, the heating/aircon worked (actually it got a bit too warm in there even when it was cold outside, even though we used the heating for a little bit when we first arrived). Honestly, for what it is, i couldn't complain and will use again if i need a room. Also, the little terrace was sweet.

Very cute room and great location. Clean and easy to follow the instructions to enter and leave. I had some trouble with my luggage and locker, the owner was so nice and kind and really helped me out! Thank you so much 🙏💖😎

I used Centric Rooms Mercado not the first time and always very happy to stay here. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, very good location, easy check in and check out. Housekeeper and cleaner doing a very good job 👍. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Thank you.

The internet was slow in the evening. The bed could have been more comfortable.
Great location in the heart og Alicante. Very clean. Available refrigerator, stove, washing machine, etc. No queue in the bathrooms.

Good place to stay in Alicante, very well-located, close to the shore and Explanada de Espana, bus stop to the airport almost around the corner. The place is very neat and clean with all the equipment you might need for your stay. There are also lockers for luggage inside which we've used the last day (we had a trip before our evening flight and we picked the luggage up just before going to the airport). The staff super helpful! They text back very quickly and answer all of the questions you might have.

Second time was staying in Centric rooms Mercado. Very good location, very good value for money. Everything was provided, even toothpaste, shampoo, suncream, beach towels, umbrellas... Thank you very much Franchesco (sorry I don't know the name of other cleaners) for keeping these place very clean. Very nice place to stay, highly recommend
