Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location was ideal to visit both the historical center and take a bus to the beach. From this place there are more bus lines going directly to the Science Museum, as well as the beach. Overcrowded at times, at least you do not need to change.

LebanonInconveniently, it seems like they were fixing the light poles outside the hotel rooms so we had a surprise visitor at the window twice in two days (which we understand is completely out of the hotel’s hands).
The location is great, close to the old city. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help.

CroatiaThere were some constructions works in the hotel so it was loud at times, as well there was noise from the street. Although room has really nice smell every day after cleaning, I think a bit more detailed cleaning could help (there was dust on table etc).
Location of hotel is great, you can easily walk up to the main square. Room is specious, bed was also really big. Personal on the reception is really helpful and speaks good english. Breakfast was good, not to varied, but everything was delicious. Overall I would say good value for money.

Location is perfect, walking distance to historical sights, just next to botanical garden, neighbourhood is quiet with a local taste. Metro station is about 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful about sightseeing. Breakfast is in a lovely hotel restaurant and has all one needs to start freshly prepared for enjoying the city. Our room was quite good with very comfortable beds and a small french balcony.
