How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No vegetales at breakfast.
Large room, clean, large bathroom and with a small terrace overlooking the street. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff, lots of information and recommendations. Great location just outside the city center about 8 min walk to the metro.

The first room suffered from bad odour due to the rainy day, and the staff did not have the reflex to make sure the sinks were all under water. Both rooms could use extra power sockets for charging and some extra hooks for jackets. Ambiant lightning was not thought through well enough.
Room was tidy, personalized welcome message, view and room details.

Rooms are a bit noisy.
A warm welcome! Location: perfect, just outside the centre. Just a few minutes walk to the Spanish School. Reception: friendly and helpful staff. Alex came with a good solution when the lock on my door didn't work. I rented a bike and booked an airport shuttle, both well organized.

The breakfast was not so great with little choice for us ( non meat eaters).
The room was very clean spacious and well appointed. The people at reception were lovely, very customer focused, informative and friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Tea making facilities in the room were so appreciated after walking and exploring all day, we took extra tbags! Very close to the Botanical gardens and an easy walk into the historical centre. Would go back for sure.

The problem was the reservation was with bath and we had shower, it wasn’t a very big problem for me.
Breakfast was very easy and good the coffee wasn’t nothing out the other world, the hotel has the restaurant cheap and very nice. The area is very quiet and near of the center. Bedrooms are very quiet didn’t hear the fireworks from the bedroom. The receptionist and the waiters all very happy and polite always happy to help. Sure I will go again.

Poor sound insulation of the windows facing street. Even with fully closed windows and blinds noise of the cars and people talks can be heard, which can be disrupting if you are a light sleeper.
Well located hotel, close to the downtown, nice and welcoming staff.

Booking.com said the room had hot tub / bath tub. But there was no bath tub. We were told that they have the same type of room, some with bath tub some without, so it's a matter of chance if we get one with bath tub or not. This was disappointing.
Fancy rooms, clean, cooperative staff, location is great as well. Break fast spread was good as well.

A little disappointed that with the deluxe room you are at the back of the property with no view.
Great location easy to walk to everything. Very helpful reception staff told us where to visit etc. Secure parking very nearby (although the car park is tight!) Room was spacious and very well appointed.

The room was a bit dirty. The spa bathtub was not clean well. One of the three functions of the spa bathtub didn't work. Some massaging heads in the bathtub were broken and didn't work. We paid more for the jacuzzi but received a broken one. The glasses provided were dirty as if it wasn't cleaned before.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The bed is huge and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location, walkable distance from the city center. There is a restaurant next to the hotel. You can also walk to Carrefour express in 3 minutes.

I did not like at all the fact that they didn’t have parking space. We filtered our search and chose this property because they had parking, but when we called, it was all booked. I felt very disappointed. The hotel/ Booking.com should add something like “limited” or “book in advance”, or even “call before booking” in the description.
The room was beautiful, mixing design styles. We really liked finding a jacuzzi for two (they had upgraded the room). Breakfast was also good.

Pillow is very hard. Air-conditioner blows to 3-rd bed guest which may make him/her sick.
