How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Our only complaint would be the wasps around the pool area.

Air con was not switched on properly as it was still considered Spring and not warm enough.

We had a problem with the air conditioning in our nice superior room and even when we were able to get it working, it did not cool the room adequately. Traffic though Madrid to get to the hotel was bad and again the next day even though we were going south. Pity, as the hotel is great for a stopover.
The free parking is great and plentiful and the courtyard setting is really nice. The hotel is very clean and the food was nice in the restaurant.

Noisy rooms (hear everyone and everything). Identical breakfast every single morning.
Clean and in proper distance from Madrid & Toledo (30 mins to both). Nice parking.

pool not open till end oh June, can be loud some days as popular weddings place, take in consideration travelling with small children.
staff were very welcoming, good location, a lot of space around the hotel so you can stay outside and have a drink, breakfast is fantastic lots of choices, everything so fresh. also not far from Madrid and Toledo

Just a little thing that the blackout curtains were a bit worn with a few holes.

This was my second visit to this hotel and breakfast was slightly better this time. It's still not what I prefer. I would like more healthy options, i.e. more fruit, yogurt and cereals.
This hotel is a good value and a good location. I like that there's plenty of parking in front and extra in the back. It's an easy walk to several places to eat. All in all, a good hotel and I will stay again when my business takes me to Illescas.

Nothing open in the hotel at the weekends. Noisy from the corridor.
Excellent Breakfast. Clean. Close to the motorway.

Well the restaurant is a convenience but nothing else. Limited to menu of the day and served by bar staff. Plenty of restaurants nearby so suggest you go for the second option.
Location good. Ideal for main roads to Santander ferries to British Isles.

I would've liked more fruit in breakfast. The large bowl of cut fruit was mostly apples. So, breakfast received a low score.
The hotel is very large and comfortable. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and I enjoyed my stay. Great location and easy to park. Further, there's a medical clinic across the street that has COVID tests. I was able to get the rapid test and results in about 6 hours for my return to the USA.

Dinner menu was via qr code and left our phones charging in bedroom and reading glasses needed for the waiter’s phone, with his limited English and our very limited Spanish we were able to get a decent dinner.
A great find, hotel was great with friendly receptionist who made us very welcome and delivered the extra pillows as requested. Great dinner €24 for 3 course with wine! Although this was off our normal route it was well worth the detour.

Booked well in advance. Arrived after 600km drive, told restaurant closed. Huge noisy wedding party meant zero facilities available. Staff disinterested and told us we could use local bars!!! Nice touch NOT. Unfriendly place, will Never go again and cannot recommend. Nice veneer but no substance. You can't eat clean windows and floors

There is no acoustic insulation at all. If there door and the window are open or closed there is almost no difference. People were speaking loudly in the courtyard and it was almost impossible to sleep

Mould all over the shower. I have reported it and they said it’s like that in all the showers and they can’t do anything about it. Breakfast wasn’t great. Didn’t had a lot of options. No fresh options except for watermelon.
Dinner was good, comfortable beds.
