Bit too far out of town for longer than one or two nights stay

Mostly geared up for functions / weddings etc. Lots of Bullfighting memorabilia decorating the hotel, good rooms & nice breakfast. Outside Pool was closed & looked like it hadn't been used for a while. Staff friendly & helpful, only downside is it's out of town & although they say it's a walk into town you really need a taxi

Venue hosts large group weddings etc and it just so happened we were there for two weddings on the same day and night. Second wedding went through to 6am and it did effect our sleep.

Hotel is a little gem in a small town with a fantastic restaurant and facilities. It's a oasis in the middle of a farmland and was home to a bull raising facility in the 70s. It's very comfortable with an excellent swimming pool facility. Really didn't like leaving.

Tied in with the above, there is nowhere nearby that you could walk to, you would have to drive. This is merely an informative point not a complaint.

Ciudad Rodrigo is a hilltop fortified town and the hotel does have a facility up there. However this second hotel is nearby out on the plain. This means they have a large area for parking and a section that is secure (but has to be paid for)

Little English spoken so get your Spanish google IPhone.

It felt like a family run hotel, very friendly staff. A much larger hotel with 50 rooms , great grounds, including pool, tennis courts and entertainment area for receptions. A large family reunion would go well there.

Its advertised has having a lift thats one reason I booked it, having a disabled daughter who struggles with stairs but unfortunately it doesn't have a lift. We booked to have an evening meal at the hotel as its out of the way, it wasn't good to be honest, if your a carnivore its great cos all you get is a slab of meat no veg or salad

Breakfast just okay, not classical Spanish style. And restaurant was pricey.

Large size of the room made it great for family travel and to all stay in the same room. And access to The swimming pool

The pool was very crowded with non-residents on the day we arrived which was disappointing. Although the room was spacious the balcony lacked any privacy. The lighting in the room, and hotel needs to be toned down. The food was OK except my wife had to send back her lasagne as it was cold in the middle.

The hotel was very traditional set in lovely grounds. It had a lovely pool and expansive lawn area.

problem with the water supply in the bathroom (which was quickly rectified) and shower taps which were not easy to regulate. aircon not as efficient as some more modern hotels but again staff helped quickly to improve the situation

beautiful grounds and lovely hotel interior with a strong link to bullfighting. very large and comfortable bedroom. very good breakfast. excellent staff and friendly service. Excellent large outdoor swimming pool and plenty of sun beds.

Nice breakfast. Most staff was very friendly except for one, that thought It was pleasant to yell at people. But immediately all the colleagues intervened with friendliness. The pool area is lovely. There's plenty of space to relax. Nice music. When the room next door was noisy the reception solved it immediately. So overall it was a nice stay!

Room Window looked onto a wall - claustrophobic - we were moved but expensive change. Cooking smells in room, long walk from car park, no Lift, 5 small green peppers and crisps was not acceptable with steak dinner. No vegetarian options on menue. Breakfast poor and not the promised buffet. Room lighting stark. Theme and photos of bullfighting everywhere - sorry not for us and not forewarned in hotel description. Location out of the way.

Nothing to dislike - menu in Spanish only but hey - we are in Spain . We always manage and the staff try very hard - English is not there native tongue - but so much better than my Spanish , so I applaud them 👏🏼

Perfect location as traveling home from Portugal to UK . Wonderful overnight stop . The Restaurant is superb one of the best meals I have had for some time .

The staff tried to help but there was a Language barrier with English. Great to have Google translator which helped enormously.

Pool, large ,comfy bedroom. Great continental breakfast, lots of it and great variety.

The facilities for wheelchair users are poor. The slope to access reception is steep and slippery. The room was nice but the shower facilities were not suitable for a wheelchair user. The shower had limit access and the fittings were old and need changing. The sink didn’t have a plug, so the tap needs to be kept running, therefore wasting water. Ironically there are stickers on the mirrors telling you to look after the environment.

The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
