Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomvery like. only comment is that the breakfast is a little disappointing given the standard of the hotel and restaurant.
we were kindly upgraded to the castle view site which was amazing. a balcony with a lovely view of the castle, a lounge area, a beautiful slipper bath in the bedroom and very cool lights and sound system. probably the best room I’ve ever stayed in!

United KingdomCould have had more towels provided in the spa area with a basket for disposal after use. Filtered water to be provided in the rooms at no extra cost.
The decor of the hotel is incredible and exceeded expectations from the photos. Friendly staff with informative knowledge of the history of the hotel. Restaurant food also very good and breakfast too which was included in the price. The use of the spa was such a treat, especially on the colder days. Bathroom designs very funky and all very stylish and new.

GermanyAs I sayed, we enjoyed our stay, but we would appreciate if the Hotel sets up a real fitness room. Theire are only two Cardio-Trainer, but no space or euqipment for weight training and also no treadmill. In addition we did not like the sauna so much, because the windows and the door are totally clear and aside from that the sauna is located in front of the pool and the deckchairs, so everbody who ist swimming in the pool oder sitting at the deckchairs direclty looks trhough the clear windows at you, sitting naked in the sauna.
We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious and we loved the interior decoration. The breakfast was pretty good as well and for dinner there are -- of course next to the Hotel owned Restaraunt, which we personally didnt try out -- some good Restaurants you can reach bye a 5 minutes walk. In the Evening we alway took a drink at the hotel bar, which really is a special place. The Drinks have been all perfeclty served. The bartender prepared every drink with so much passion and gave every drink his special note. Definitely it was not our last stay at this great acommandation!

United KingdomPersonally we felt there could have been a couple of more gym options but understand it is not set up for that. Some times lack a little bit of atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.
Fantastic property with stunning views and rooms. Standard of food excellent. Staff over all good but, hard to get any kind of relationship with people wearing masks.

United KingdomThere is nothing bad about this hotel.
The hotel is every bit as stunning as it looks in the photos. It’s a beautiful and very peaceful place to relax. It’s well designed, well decorated, spacious and clean. It’s in a quiet location while still being very easy to get to from the airport and there are lots of great things to do nearby. Most importantly, the manager Toni is simply brilliant and he made our stay as enjoyable as possible from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Nothing was too much for him to help us with and he is by far the best hotel manager I have ever met! The service from all the staff at the hotel, in the restaurant and by the pool was amazing. Everyone was so friendly, kind and helpful - they really made our stay special. The hotel and staff have also done a great job to make everyone’s stay clean and Covid safe. From clear guidelines about when and where to wear masks, regular cleaning and hand sanitiser points through to booking our PCR tests for us, Toni and the team have it all covered. If you want to stay in a beautiful place with fantastic service then this is the place for you! It’s the only hotel I have ever returned to for a second time.

United Kingdomnothing at all .. all fabulous
As a converted Covent the building was stunning ,beautiful large and well equipped rooms , amazing interior decor ;-the Hotel bar was incredible , everywhere was spotlessly clean . The food both at breakfast and for diner was superb served on outdoor terrace overlooking wonderful countryside and the staff were always very helpful and efficient . The outside pool was a wonderful relaxing oasis with incredible views. The larger Indoor pool and Spa was set in old chapel with stained glass windows great for early morning or before dinner swims . Anything you asked for was immediately provided Set in a small pretty village of Capdepera , it is only a short drive to some beautiful unspoilt beaches with the clearest blue sea I have ever known . Lots of coastal walks to try . There is a castle within walking distance and village square with several local restaurants serving Tapas and local dishes . Manager and reception staff were always on hand to recommend interesting places to visit . I honestly cannot fault Creu de Tau and cannot wait to go back there

SwitzerlandNothing, we loved everything. The only risk is that your will not be able to be happy in any other Hotel on the Island after you have been here!
I have travelled a lot for both work (always 5 star hotels) and leisure all over the world and this is one of the best hotel I have stayed in. This is a 6 star hotel. Everything is very high end and luxurious, rooms are amazing. The simple act of taking a shower makes you feel like a king or a queen. The outdoor swimming pool has a fantastic view on the castle and comfortable and quiet sun beds. Indoor pool at the SPA is great and quite big well and was always totally empty! Breakfast was good with good choices ‘à la carte’ and form the buffet. It is clear that everything is sourced with highest quality in mind. We has a great dinner at the restaurant as well with well cooked high end food, good value for money as well. The location is ideal as well with beaches just within 10 minutes drive. All the staff was very professional and friendly.

United KingdomThe restaurant in the hotel did not have any vegetarian or vegan main courses. However, they were very friendly and arranged a vegetarian dish I could have for a main. It is an expensive place and area, so be prepared to spend money. Although, it is probably what you would expect given the price of the rooms. Our room 108 was fantastic, however there was some noise pollution. We could occasionally hear the restaurant from the floor below. And on our balcony there was an air conditioning unit fan that made a noise pretty much constantly. However, neither of these were a problem for us but might be for others.
We stayed for 4 nights in a superior double, which was an amazing room with our own sunbeds and balcony. The atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic, relaxed and peaceful. Very attentive and friendly staff. The food and wine was top quality. The square next to the hotel has some nice bars, with an amazing Italian restaurant there. The beaches nearby are very nice, with some good restaurants and bars.

This is the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in. It’s incredibly designed and it has a fantastic modern traditional blend. Tasteful rooms with good tech. Staff are helpful. Breakfast every day was great and the pools are clean and never too crowded. The views over Capdepera and the mountains are breathtaking. I never say I will return to a hotel but I will change my mind based on this trip!

GermanyWe had a lovely stay at Hotel Creu de Tau. The staff was super friendly and helpful. When we arrived the hotel manager Antonio greeted us with a welcome drink and gave us a room upgrade. The hotel building itself is beautiful and the room was very comfortable with a stylish interior design. We would also definitively recommend having a dinner at Covanegra (hotel restaurant), the food was amazing! Thank you so much again to the whole team of Creu de Tau for this amazing experience! We will come back :)

Incredible hotel with wonderful staff & excellent breakfasts. The attention to detail is apparent throughout, from complimentary bottles of water by the pool to Tony, the hotel manager & front desk helping with recommendations & restaurant bookings to ensure your stay is seamless. The views from the pool are nothing short of breathtaking. The room was prepared with connected systems (music, lights etc) & decorated to perfection. I couldn’t recommend this place more and we look forward to coming back one day.

United KingdomThe town itself is very small and you can struggle to find places with space to eat if you haven’t booked in advance - the hotel’s restaurant is wonderful, but as someone who doesn’t eat meat or dairy there are very limited choices. Moving forward it would be great if more plant based options were added to the menu. Also something to note, the hotel is VERY calm and serene, no music by the pool etc, so if looking for a lively(ish) atmosphere you will be disappointed. If however, you want to completely switch off and unwind this is the perfect place to do so. All that said however, it is still a remarkable hotel and we had the most wonderful stay- thank you so much! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Creu de Tau to anyone.
Absolutely stunning hotel in a lovely little town not far from the coast. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning: spacious rooms, stunning interior design and two beautiful pools. There is also a spa, but we didn’t use any of the services- next time for sure! The staff are wonderful, always smiling and attentive. We had an issue with our card being charged twice and the problem was rectified immediately- we really couldn’t have asked for better customer service.

Toni and his team were so attentive which really added to our stay. There is a great selection at breakfast and I highly recommend the restaurant for dinner. United KingdomProbably the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. Absolutely everything was exceptional - our room (a standard double), the bar, restaurant, location, pools (indoor and outdoor), spa, staff, everything. The attention to detail is incredible throughout the hotel, which is a converted monastery, and the restaurant is one of the best in the area (with a stunning view over the mountains and fort). Cannot recommend highly enough.
