Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBusy local neighbourhood in late evening/night time wasn’t expected and should be listed in the description. The TV antenna was broken all the time we were there and Weflating staff weren’t much interested in keeping us informed. There was also no streaming available in the property unfortunately. Some kitchen items were missing which were provided after we queried them
Location and local people and facilities, close to everything we needed

AustraliaIncredibly noisy! The front bedroom isn’t sound proofed, so there is street noise until ~midnight. However, the worst noise comes from the neighbours…you can hear all movements in the apartment above, plus anytime anyone is showering, cooking etc. It was really hard to sleep. There was also no basic amenities provided (eg coffee, laundry detergent etc).
Close to great restaurants and the metro, as well as being in walking distance to various attractions. it was clean too. Plenty of space for a group.

United StatesSlightly shabby interior appearance, this could easily be a 9 with just a little sprucing up. But for the money, not bad.
Great value, location. Tons of space. Very good showers and comfortable, firm mattresses. The area is NOT drowning in tourists. Great restaurants nearby. Nice balcony overlooking the mini-square from our room.

United KingdomThe pictures on the website were not of the apartment that we stayed in, but I appreciate that there are a number of apartments in the same building. The kitchen set up was very basic. I think it would have been a struggle to stay for a full week and use the kitchen to prepare food. We had some noisy neighbours who came back late at night, but nothing that was too disruptive.
The staff at the Weflating office were really helpful and let us leave our bags there whilst the flat was being cleaned for our arrival. The apartment was really big with some lovely features - amazing bathroom! The flat had aircon which was definitely needed as it was so hot during our stay. The location is amazing - really central and San Antoni is a very cool place. Lots of great places to eat all in easy walking distance.

United KingdomCan’t really moan as it was as expected for the budget we payed, if I was going to suggest anything it would be nice for some tea/coffee making stuff to be there ( kettle, cups, and pretty much all the kit needed to make it was supplied) we only had three days so was not really worth buying a large pot or coffee and tea bags for us to leave there so would of been nice to have a few bits in the place.
Was a nice size apartment and absolutely as described. location was great just a short walk to the centre with a shop and a few coffee shops /bars directly opposite. bedding was nice and clean and the air con was a nice touch

GermanyIf I had to find something that could be improved: Aircon in every room would be great. Barcelona can get very hot and humid. A second kitchen towel could be usefull. For a larger group of ppl there should to be more plates and cups. Unfortunately we had either some very noisy tourist neighbours or some local neighbours that get up very very early and go to bed very very late. It was very loud, even in bedrooms 2 + 3, because we could hear the elevator, ppl talking, doors smashing. Not sure why and if it is like that all the time. We did not mind too much, but guests should be aware of that.
The Apartment was exactly as described. Everything was clean. Spacious rooms, beds a bit soft, but comfy. There is plenty of room for clothes to hang. The kitchen had everything we needed (2 ppl). Both bathrooms were big enough and very clean. Door locks well, we felt very safe. The little balcony was perfect for a relaxing end of a busy sightseeing day in beautiful Barcelona! Important to know: San Antoni/Compte Borrell is an area were real people do live their everyday life. Children play on the street, ppl sit outside till late in the evening playing cards, chatting, restaurants and bars are around the corner. There is a lot of noise, but: you are in the middle of "Real-Life-Barcelona" and not "only-tourists-Barcelona". The apartment is vey typical: one bedroom faces the street (noisy), bedroom 2 und 3 are down the hall. These rooms have no real daylight, as the windows face an inside air shaft. That set up is very common in Barcelona. Aircon is in the hall and living room. It does help to cool down bedrooms 2 + 3. We felt very good in the apartment and the neighbourhood! Walking distance to numerous supermarkets and the Merkant San Antoni; you get to the Rambla and the Barri Gothic within a 10 - 20 min walk. Very good and popular bars and restaurants are around the corner. You can reach the Aeroport Bus within a 7 - 10 min walk. We had a wonderfull stay and we will come back!

United KingdomIn general, the apartment we stayed in was in need of some tender loving care. I found a dirty sock in my bedroom obviously left by a previous occupant and not dealt with by cleaning staff. In addition, on the very small balcony there was a glass jar absolutely full of cigarette butts. A small thing but very annoying was that the battery in the wall clock in the lounge needed to be replaced as the clock was not working. Needless to say this was not a good start to our visit. Directly on the road at the front of the building there were several very large refuse/recycle bins which became a real nuisance as they would be emptied by the refuse collectors around 6am every morning which was extremely noisy. it didn't help that the doors and shutters were in need of repair as they didn't shut properly. The bar underneath is extremely loud and people stand outside smoking so doesn't help towards a peaceful stay. We had a 3 bed apartment, the 2 smaller bedrooms had small windows looking out onto other apartments' walls. All in all not as depicted in the pictures on booking.com and in our mind not worth the amount paid.
Location was excellent; there are plenty of snack bars, coffee shops and restaurants; property is 3 minutes from the market; buses and metro 6-7 minutes walk away. It is located on a beautiful tree lined road. The 2 shower-rooms are clean and look recently refurbished but unfortunately the rest is sadly lacking behind at this price.

IrelandThe apartment is described as 2 bedrooms but the second room has literally just space for the bed against the wall, one had to jump into the bed. The cleaning was quite superficial, a lot of dust under the beds.

United KingdomWe stayed at the weekend this time and the neighbours were really loud - like music and loud talks till 1-2 AM. Not sure if they were the residents or the guests of Weflating. Also there were missing a few thing on the kitchen for example a kettle. maybe the hosts would bring it to us but we've never asked. Would be also nice to have wine glasses and a bottle opener - we are visiting Spain:)
The location is great, easy to get from/to airport. Also the metro station is close. Sant Antoni market is close where you can buy some delicious food.

ColombiaThere is a weird smell in the apartment, and two of the three rooms are interior, so they do not have light. The price of the apartment is a bit high.
The apartment's location is fantastic—the best neighborhood in Barcelona, walking distance from many great restaurants and cafes. The main room has a lovely balcony, and the apartment is spacious and has everything you need.

GermanyThe traffic-calmed street in front of the appartment also means during the night (@3:30 a.m.) people are sitting outside, drinking and shouting. During summer you cannot open the window while sleeping since this is just too loud.
The area with the Sant Antoni Market close by is a beautiful residential area close to the city center. There is a traffic-calmed street in from of the appartment with restaurants and benches around.
