How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

mattress could be better ... could also be worse
The hostel is run by volunteers, they're super friendly! There's a truly nice atmosphere, socializing is very easy but there's no party/loud noise at night so you'll get a good sleep. The small coworking room is a nice plus for digital nomads. wifi good. Handy location, 1 min to beach and less than 5 to bus stop.

/ it is banks bed the bed wasn't comfy for me also, i would appreciate if they had activities or more info about the place that they give out

I had a wonderful time at the Hostel. The people who work there are very helpful. I met a lot of good people. When I spent another 5 nights in other hostels, I went back to visit the guys.

The voluntary workers could be more self-employed, look around and ask if something is needed like toilet paper, soap, astry, new sheets etc. It's frustrating always ask everything.

The staff is very welcoming, I stayed for only one night but at the end of it it felt like I was there since one week. A special shout-out for Diego who was resolutive in an otherwise lost cause. Thank you!

very friendly and helpful staff, really easy to make friends in hostel& local bars, super warm environment! Town is beautiful, hostel is right next to beach, lots of cafes and restaurants. amazing area

No real chill out space (a few tables) but no common room with couch. The rooftop provided some but it wasn’t open before 9 am so if you’re working or want to drink coffee in the am you have nowhere to hang out. I book hostels for kitchen use and the downstairs kitchen is not open until about 9. The dorm room I was in is way too crowded with 8 bunk beds and people smoke literally at the window outside. It has potential if a few things are changed but I was disappointed because the rating were very high so I expected more. Especially for price but maybe that’s how much hostels are in Canary Islands 🇮🇨

There aren't too many common areas which makes it a bit small. Could be cleaner - but I am also a neatfreak. The frontdoor slams loudly if you don't pay attention to it.

The only suggestion I have is making the hallway lights motion-sensored because some guests turned them on at night and didn’t turn them off.
We were so impressed with Daydream. I now understand why it’s called a co-living space and not a hostel. The place is managed really well by caring and friendly staff. All the common areas close down at 10pm, which is great for those who want to rest. Seems like it could be a party hostel, but it’s really not. Everyone is super respectful of noise and space. People of all ages were staying there when we were there. The rooftop is lovely. The kitchens are well-equipped with everything you might need. There’s even filtered drinking water in the downstairs kitchen. It is also cleaner than just about any hostel I’ve ever stayed in. They even provide towels and body wash. I also can’t forget to mention the location, 2 min walk to the beach and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and a couple of supermarkets.

The fridge stinks. The entrance door and room door are very noisy, everyone is aware of the issue but no one really did anything about it

People still didn't or couldn't read not to bang the front door upon leaving
Roof top terrace and the closing down at 10pm to keep the noise down and make it comfortable for everyone staying there
