Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe hotel is sleek and modern, but I would like more storage options in the bedroom and bathroom. What is wrong with drawers? I am not a fan of bath tubs with showers. A walk in shower is far more useable!
The location behind the Cathederal is quiet yet close enough to the Plaza Major. The breakfast was good value with lots of choices of fresh produce. Bed was very comfortable.

United StatesRoom was a bit cramped. New chic door locks require guests to slam room doors to close, which is a problem from a noise perspective. World's smallest in-room safe has capacity for keys, phone, and wallet and nothing more. Did not get a tour or overview of property and thus did not discover rear view terrace until time of departure. Breakfast served in joyless windowless room with a TV droning on is a glum affair with offerings that appeared to be primarily toasted bread and coldcuts.
At $125 per night weekend stay, it was among the best "mid-priced" hotels I had during an extended stay in Spain in terms of comfort, upkeep of room, and quality of furnishings.

SpainThe shower needs some attention. Needs new silicone around the bottom of the shower. No sliding pole for the shower head, which was very high. Fine if you're around 178cm, not good for me at 152cm!
Good location for getting around the city. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Nice big balcony.

United StatesWe had a bit of trouble with heat control in our room. The staff took care of it through the modern controls installed. We did not have a car but there is not much parking close. There is a small garage under the hotel that charges per night. Shopping and town square area very entertaining.
Inside walled city that took you back in time. Room was modern so to speak as the building was built 15 years ago to look old like surrounding buildings. It had modern conveniences you would expect. The breakfast was very good and well stocked with many options. There is much to see and do in this walking city. We got some good tips from the staff. There is no shortage of pastry shops, wine bars, and great restaurants either.

AustraliaOnly one little thing, there was road / footpath works being undertaken at the front of the hotel. It didn't cause an issue or noise at all, it just made the entry to the hotel not as lovely as it could be.
The location is magnificent to be able to walk to all the major sites. So close to everything. There are great restaurants close by. Parking is on site. The view from the garden is lovely.

AustraliaThe weather. Unfortunately we had some rain. Also, the road works out the front. Whilst not noisy, it made it a little difficult getting there as the taxi could not drive down the road. It's not the Hotels fault.
Great room with balcony with a view looking at Alcazar. The room was spacious, had a great bed, and was very quiet. The staff were excellent. We would definitely stay there again. For a 3 star hotel, it was above that rating.

IrelandNot a dislike but a cautionary note to anyone with mobility issues: Probably does not apply to all rooms, but there were three or four steps up to the bathroom. The steps are lit. We've been to Segovia three times over the years. First time at Don Felipe and we will definitely be back!
Quiet. A short walk from the main square - and from the alcazar in the other direction. Nice staff. The room had a private terrace and a view of the alcazar. The building internally looks very new. Well appointed.

United KingdomQuite a long walk from public car park to hotel, especially was we were not able to get to the hotel by road to drop off bags. The access was restricted due to road works - not the fault of the hotel!
