How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast Basic but what can you expect for the price,We had enough and would not hold it against the Hotel.
Arrived by Motorcycle.Booking in went smoothly.Parking was a little scary for us as the underground car park had steep ramps going down but we managed ok,Coming up was sorted with a little planning,It all went well.Loved the Hotel was great value and situated just off the main Highway,Very easy to find with sat nav.All very clean and bedrooms nice.

Nothing - recently renovated
We were two Cyclists from the UK on a 1000km ride around Spain. We were guests in late April/early May 2022. The location was superb, the welcome generous and the rooms 100% as expected - Our needs are simple: hot showers and warm beds – both were delivered to a high standard – Thank You

Only slight negative was the underground garage, which was very tight for a larger car, but fairly typical for Spain
Lovely staff; good sized room & beautiful bathroom; dog friendly & lovely walks beside the river moments away across the main road. Quiet location on edge of old town. Restaurant kitchen was closed for hot food but cold tapas was available: all the dishes were delicious and good sized tapas portions - ordered way too much! Lovely for when you’re tired and just want something simple. Would have liked to stay for longer to explore what looked like a nice town. Made a great overnight stop in easy range of Santander for the ferry the following day.

Very small parking slots. With a large car we where told to not even try and part 2 or 3 blocks away in a public parking on the other side of the river.
Very nice location. Staff super friendly an quick to support. Very clean and looks renewed.

Quite difficult to find, the “pin drop” sent by the hotel was useless and sent us miles out of our way!! Once standing in reception it still said we had a 15 minute drive to reach our destination! Car park was extremely tight to manoeuvre unless you were in a Fiat 500!!! Menu could have been more extensive, but maybe that’s a British thing!!
Nicely decorated and equipped, staff were very helpful and friendly. Despite what we didn’t like, we would stay again!

The breakfast was a little lacking, hardly any choice, with a bowl of ‘seen better days’ fruit!
Easy to get too & very close to centre. Superbly clean & nicely furnished rooms. Huge, incredibly comfortable king sized bed & pillows. Pleasant staff. Secure parking underneath hotel for €10 a night. Some may find the parking spaces a little ‘tight’.

Small friendly hotel near to cathedral and all facilities of city centre. Enjoyed my stay, so came back for a second night later on. In both cases, clean, comfortable room with good wifi. Small cafeteria where had good reasonably priced lunch on my first visit.

After a very long drive the stay at the hotel was absolutely life saving for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving me a very welcoming feeling accompanied by excellent service. Thank you so so much!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful considering I didn't speak any Spanish. If you take a car and park at the hotel beware the carpark is very tight and I had a bit of trouble getting in and out but I did have a large Estate

We would prefer not to comment further as this hotel was a disaster for us which we will not repeat. Totally unsuitable for an older couple just staying overnight on our journey to the Ferry.

See above and very narrow car park ing , difficult to get in and out , didn’t like the fact that on arrival there was a girl behind reception brushing her very long hair , she didn’t stop to say good evening or acknowledge us in any way
Nice rooms , but although we asked for a quiet room the pump ? for the air conditioner came on around 2am and kept me awake most of the night

Couldn’t get our transit van in the underground garage. Noisy guests next door coming in at 2am.

very unfriendly receptionist and treatment throughout the stay I did not feel welcomed at all so even the most beautiful decor will not change the experience advertised as with the parking but it’s impossible to be used due to extremely small area
