Satisfaction with the hotel depends on our expectations. We were looking for a quiet, unique place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist resorts, and this hotel provided us with that and even exceeded our expectations. Dormio Resort offers just such a holiday. We have all the holiday infrastructure at our disposal, such as an exclusive apartment with a huge terrace, restaurant, bar, supermarket, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, gym, spa, "private" beach and underground parking. The nearest "noisy" towns such as Benidorm or El Campello (clubs, restaurants, shops) are 10-15 minutes away by car or bus.

Steam room was not working during our stay. Also would be great if the supermarket in the hotel was separated from the bar so it can be open for longer hours with self-checkout - will be easier to buy food during night.

Spacious rooms with everything necessary. We were able to stay comfortably with our dog. Its easy to go around with a car, in 20 minutes you can go to Alicante or Benidorm. SPA and gym was small but still useful.

Had a beautiful balcony but only 1 sunbed so couldn't make full use of it, also no instructions of how everything works e.g oven, hob, grill, blinds & dishwasher

The convenience is very small, with a few items of assertments, it is not enought to avoid going to a supermarket far from the resort.

Limited amenities if coming without car

My children loved the kids club, very comfortable apartament with everything we needed and large terrace. Lovely small Beach and electric car charger. Very confortable family apartments

The outdoor pool was closed for maintenance, which we didn’t know when booking. The indoor pool is really too small for a swim. The restaurant starts serving dinner at 19:30; too late for our 6-year old daughter. I know this is a Spanish habit, but with so many Dutch customers, one could also adjust to customer’s wishes (hint).

Parking is an extra $10 per night not the worst as the night rate was so affordable but I don’t get why hotels do that.

We booked this hotel for one night as it was on the way to our final destination but we ended extending our stay there because it was such a nice surprise. The apartment was big and the rooms and bathrooms so large. The kitchen was fully and well equipped. The terrace with view on the pool was large and had plenty patio furniture and sun beds for everyone. The bed and sofa beds were also very comfortable. The pool was heated but the spa allowed the kids at certain time of the day (though in low season they were super flexible with that) so we had access to the heated interior small pool. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. Really recommended staying there.

- There is breakfast, but one person needs around 25 euros for adults and 16 euros for kids, which is definitely a bit expensive. Do not see a lot of people go for breakfast, it is normally easier to buy and cook your own breakfast. - Nowhere to buy food unless take tram to another town nearby, there is a minimarket that is open at a certain time during the day in the resort, but with very limited thing you can buy and the price is a bit expensive than normal for sure. If you come here with your family and small kids, rent a car will make your life easier. parking lot is available for free down the street. The first day we arrived at 16:00 and the minimarket is closed and the restraurant is also closed earlier. We have no food for the kids and the whole faimily. I have to take tram to another town and carry food back to cook. - The Spa room is a bit small, you need to choose a time with less people otherwise, the sauna room will be so crowed.

On the face of it parking, but there is an excellent undergromd carpark with easy access to rooms for 10 Euros a day which was affordable.

Nothing but praise for the Dornio Resort. Everything was of a high standard. It suited my need for a relaxing break and the spa facilities were excellent, and the beach incredibly close for sunbathing and swimming. The Nuzza restaurant was good and onsite shop great for essentials for self=catering. The apartment was outstanding and the facilities were excellent and the furnishings of a very high standard. The tram-stop is very close. maybe 5 mins walk, and gives access back to Alicante and up to Denia and a small price. I will be back with my family on my next trip.

The swimming pool water was very dirty, and the showers were out of service. Additionally, the reception desk was unattended.
