Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

NetherlandsWiFi doesnt work on the top floor. The water of the shower didn't drain properly took quite a while to do so.
The place was acomodating the WiFi was great to work and even watch a movie after a long and busy day in the city and the beaches.

Apartment is central to the main attractions of Málaga, everything can be reached by walk or by public transport. There is a bus stop just few meters away. You have also washing machine,dishwasher,cutlery if you want to use them as extras. Plenty of towels provided for your stay,easy automatic check in and check out . Air conditioning working well

United KingdomNo on road parking to be found in the area. We parked in the main square and walked back after a fabulous night out which worked well (but expensive for overnight). You need to be fit and well to stay here as it’s flights of stair to living area and bedroom.
Very clean, comfortable bed and a 5 minute walk into the main square.

United KingdomWhen we arrived at the apartment, there were supposed to be keys left out for us to get into the apartment but the key box first of all would not open and finally when we opened it there was no keys inside the box at all. After 20 minutes, we get in contact with the host who says the apartment hasn’t been cleaned yet and is still dirty which is why the keys aren’t there (this is 3 hour after the check in time that we could have arrived at). She then says for us to wait an hour for it to be cleaned which is outrageous in itself as we are tired and need to shower. After waiting one hour, the owner says we now need to stay in another apartment nearby which we are glad to hear after waiting so long. We get into the new apartment and it is okay. However, just as we are leaving the apartment, the owner comes to our door and says we need to pay her for the original apartment to be cleaned and says it will be 30 euros in cash which we are simply astounded by as we thought we should be getting a refund if anything and not us paying some extra fee which wasn’t stated anywhere in the description and never happens, cleaning fee is always included in the original price. She then threatens to kick us out the apartment as we say we are not paying an extra 30 euros. We then are left to call booking.com agents to help us out who kindly offer to pay the extra’cleaning’ money to this woman who is screaming at us. After an hour on arguing, we finally agree to pay this horrible woman so we can have somewhere to sleep. By this time, it is 8pm and we have wasted 3 hours of our only night in Malaga talking to this very unpleasant woman. The worst experience I’ve ever had, please stay clear of this place due to the cretins that run it.
The only good thing is the location was okay. This was honestly the worst I’ve ever been treated as a guest at a apartment. The owner was the rudest women I’ve ever come across and it really ruined our trip to Malaga and left us feeling lied to and hurt because of the way this women acted towards us.

SpainThe host was set on taking as much extra money as she could! An additional 30 euros cleaning fee we had to pay by bizum before being able to enter the property. The price we paid when we booked the property said inclusive of all charges so this was a complete rip off! 20 euros a day for parking and she had forgotten that we asked for parking so that caused us great inconvenience. 30 euros for a dog which weighs less than 5kg. If you want any of the breakfast items left in the flat 30 euros! The stairs are a complete nightmare and the flat doesn’t start until the second floor with some loose treads. The trip had gone on the electricity, toaster broken. Bathroom sink blocked with black stuff floating around. Shower hose cut off water supply if you tried to move it. No doors between living spaces and scary staircase. Someone let themselves in unannounced when we were there. We honestly didn’t want to spend 5 minutes in the apartment. The sofa is in the kitchen and depressing but I think the feeling of being conned was the worst thing! Do not stay here! And I am definitely not the first to feel like this!

ChinaCaution: Unforeseen Charges My initial booking was made under the impression of a clear and upfront cost. However, shortly after securing a non-refundable reservation, I was contacted by the hotel with a request for an additional 20 Euros cleaning fee, which was not disclosed at the time of booking. Feeling this was unfair and not in line with the transparent pricing we, as travelers, expect, I expressed my concerns. The hotel then offered to cancel my booking without mentioning any specific terms for the cancellation. Believing this to be a resolution, I agreed, only to find that over a week had passed without any cancellation or communication from either the hotel or Booking.com. This situation has not only caused inconvenience but also raised concerns about potential misleading practices that could affect others. My advice to fellow travelers is to double-check all terms and additional fees that might not be immediately apparent when booking. It’s also crucial to communicate directly with booking platforms like Booking.com if any discrepancies arise. I hope my experience can serve as a reminder to always seek clarity and transparency in your travel arrangements to avoid any unexpected challenges.

HondurasUpon booking there is a hidden 30 euro fee that the owner tells you about after you pay the booking price. There are a few stairs in the loft not bolted down, very sketchy, the bathroom is in the bedroom if you have more than 2 guest it can be awkward, and the drains are very slow probably slightly stopped up

BelgiumThe description of the accommodation does not correspond well to reality. In particular, there is no mention anywhere that this duplex starts on the second floor without an elevator. The finishes and furnishing of the apartment, despite it being recently renovated, are mediocre and the maintenance is seriously deficient (for example, there are stair steps which are detached). The irony is that we were asked, after payment of the all-inclusive rate, for an extra €30 cash for cleaning.

DenmarkCheck-in was at 15, but the apartment wasn't ready before after 18.30 Leftovers (open juices, water, cream) still in fridge from previous guests. Wifi was so bad that it often disconnected on the 2nd floor. One of the remotes for the A/C was missing it's batteries so had to switch around every time we wanted to use the other one.
