The building was having some renovation for new spaces and the workers started at 8 am. A little bit early when you are on vacation though this situation will surely occur for a short period.

Coffee facilities in the room would have been superb, nevertheless there was a lounge with coffee making etc. for your use.

It was such a pleasure after a long drive to walk into such a calm beautiful atmosphere. It has been very tastefully refurbished with amenities. The host was very friendly and I would recommend staying there. The property has a lift for your convenience

This is a gorgeous place to stay, this impressive old house has been tastefully and sympathetically restored to its former glory by the owner. Thoughtful touches like bottled water for the room were freely available for guests. The owner, Ellie, was warm and welcoming and gave helpful advice about the local area.

It's hard, but if I had to name one thing, it would be breakfast. Although, I think that depends on the time of year. We were there off-season and were the only guests in the hotel. That meant the breakfast was a voucher you could exchange in one of the bars or restaurants in the village. You can find those places and the type of breakfast they offer by downloading an app. The concept is nice, and there are many places to choose from. However, not so much on an off-season Sunday morning. This is not bad, but it is something to keep in mind.

There is very little not to like at this property. The building is a beautifully restored mansion in the historic center of Cuevas. Inside, they have spacious rooms with a lot of attention to detail. There are also many stairs (and an elevator for those who need it) zigzagging up and down. The host is very welcoming, and the communication before arrival is friendly and excellent.

There are limitations in things to do beyond the castle & caves (which are closed on Sundays), but definitely worth a stay over in a journey along the coast.

Not many restaurants in the area. Parking can be difficult but we were very lucky to get a spot right outside.

Very nice spacious room, super clean and neatly presented in beautiful building full of history and character. Close to centre. Would definitely return on our next trip to Lunar cable car!! Bonus - it's pet friendly 🐶
