Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilThe place is very comfortable and clean, I loved the style, made me feel at home, it’s all a pilgrim needs to rest after many days walking. And a plus, the pueblo is really cute, the neighbors are friendly and super helpful, the owner of Encaixe de Bolillo is an adorably and very talented lady ! Go to see her art if you have time!

United KingdomNo washing machine. Whilst i could handwash items, this wouldn't be ideal if the albergue was full as there are 2 bathrooms. On a rainy day it would also be difficult to dry items mainly due to limited space.
The albergue itself was absolutely beautiful, it was very clean and the bed pods were amazing. Very modern and larger than the average bed. We had towels and cotton sheets.. The showers were also a rare treat.

This is by far the best albergue I stayed in. It’s new, clean and is set in the most spectacular location. The owner is delightful and makes her own lace, which you can purchase from her stall down the road. The sleeping pods are perfect, with a privacy screen, charging station, light, shelf and TV! You can walk up the road for dinner or order a beautiful home cooked meal which is delivered. Best night ever! Highly recommend this gorgeous albergue.

CanadaI would have continued on to Muxia as I arrived early from Olveiroa and I was the only person staying there with nothing much to do.
This is a very modern albergue just past Quintans and only 10 kms to Muxia. If you want a short walk into Muxia, this is a great stop. There are only 10 beds with sheets, comforter and a towel provided. Each bed has its own TV but I couldn’t figure out how to operate it. There’s a small well stocked kitchen but no restaurants or cafes nearby except in Quintans so you need to bring your own food. The hostess lives next door and was very friendly and helpful.

United StatesThere wasn't a dryer available and it rained a lot so my clothes never got dry.
The staff member was nice. There's a vending machine outside with a lot to use. The bed space is comfy.

United StatesSpectacular property, if you are thinking of walking to Muxía but don’t want to do 30km, this is the place to stay. New mordern factuality, great bunks with LED lights and 5 USB outlets per pod. Black out blinds in each. Kitchen has everything you need, just bring your own food. One of the nicest I’ve stayed at and I walked the full Camino Frances as well,

United KingdomAll bins in sleeping area, bathroims and kitchen are full to brim. Food waste left in bin in kitcgen, dining area. Ladies bathroom not flushed. Gents bathroom flooded when using shower through lack of screen. Location lacked any dining facilities. Hence the low rating
First impression were very favourable. Appeared spotlessly clean. Cube beds with individual TV and power sockets. However

United KingdomEvery bin was full. No other guests not one had been emptied. Kitchen bin full to top with rotting food, bathroom ones full of toilet tissue. Ladies toilet not flushed. If we hadn't paid in advance would not have stayed.
On the path, the only thing the place had in its favour.
