Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBeautiful spacious room. Privacy. Reception was incredibly kind. She carried my bag to my room which was surprising! Wish I could’ve stayed for breakfast as I am sure it would be delicious however had to leave early to walk the Camino del Norte. The hotel is off the Camino del Norte 2.6 miles. There are buses that take you down the hill if you don’t want to walk to rejoin the Camino. Great place.

United StatesNo elevator but staff helped with luggage so no problem. Parking is at marina which is downhill from hotel. Not a problem for us but may be for some seniors.
Historic hotel in perfect location. Wonderful restaurant in building. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating areas. Overlooking the marina.

ChinaFor the single room, because the window next to main road, can have more noise. Also, maybe because it’s an old historic building, the soundproofing is not quite there, I can hear next door couple talking clearly in the evening. And when next door guests open their room with the keys, just sounds like opening mine, the sound is quite loud….but overall the noise issue wasn’t a big problem, I still rested pretty well. Also, because of the design of the bed, I’m keeping bumping my head on the wood block on top of the bed.Maybe it’s just for my room…
Great location, in the center of the town, right next to the bus stop(if anyone came by bus like me) Great staff, friendly and speaks English, and very responsive regarding my questions about arriving here by public transportation Beautifully view from the public terrace

United StatesI enjoyed so much talking with the host, an older woman who has been a host for years and now shares the role with her son, etc. I speak English and she speaks Spanish, but we were able to communicate and actually had fun doing so, due to her enthusiasm and effort! She's one of the sweetest hosts ever. This place is truly gorgeous--historic and well-maintained. We stayed in the little apartment with views, including a large balcony, that faced the water. Dreamy! Even if you don't stay in that apartment, there is a shared living room with balcony space too. The son of the host (also a host) gave wonderful recommendations for a scenic drive up a mountain on the way to the national park (Picos de Europa). While we wanted to get to the park, we didn't have time, but this gorgeous little mountain drive was the next best thing! Ask about this. I also recommend the following for either a solo or romantic journey: *Walking Playa de La Griega beach for a picnic *Dining at El Meson del Pescados (spendy, but an amazing food experience)! We were here in November, and it was an ideal time--temps in the 60s (F) during the day and very few tourists. The only downside of that timing is a lot of places close. We were so grateful to stay at this beautiful hotel. Don't forget to have breakfast there too. It's amazing! :)

The staff was incredible friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the center of this charming small town. The on-site restaurant was very good.

A superb, family-run hotel in the heart of Lastres. Great views of the harbour and surrounding mountains and coastline. Our room was lovely, immaculately clean, and the sun terrace very welcome for breakfast or an evening drink! Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the northern coast of Spain.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like. Ok there isn't a car park but it's llastres! It's built in a hill with very few places to park. Up the hill though we found free car parking.
This is a perfect hotel in a lovely town. The staff were just so welcoming. Nothing was any trouble for them. The room was beautiful. The terrace looked out onto the port and the coastline of neighbouring beaches. The breakfast was really good. Go for the bigger breakfast as the smaller one is very bread and cake based. The paella dinner was really worth it. All in all this is just a fantastic little hotel. Ignore the 2 stars rating. It's a very special place.
