How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only problem was I have an older smartphone that can't connect to a 5 GHz WiFi and the 2.4 GHz WiFi wouldn't connect.
Excellent location, friendly staff and easy entry once a resident told us reception is on floor "E".

It was a tiny bit noisy in a room that faces the plaza. Didn’t love the “we will tell you how the key code to get in the room some (undefined) time before you arrive.” Thankfully, staff was there when we arrived, so no problem, but a little anxiety provoking.
Location excellent, rooms are well appointed, staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for the price!

None. We had everything we needed for an overnight stay and had no complaints whatsoever!
The communication before our visit was friendly and helpful, and our reception on arrival was warm and welcoming. I'd wanted to book a hostal close to the Museo Goya and Hostal Plaza was in the perfect location for everything we wanted to do, as well as for exploring a city we'd never visited before. We only had 24 hours in Zaragoza but the experience was a gem of warmth and tranquility after being in busier cities and Hostel Plaza Boutique was part of that lovely experience.

The bed was a little bit small for my tall companion.
Very nice stay, room is confortable although a bit small, but very clean and charming. Very good for the price ! Staff are lovely and the location cannot be more perfect.

The place was very clean and well maintained! Rooms had everything needed, and the desk staff were super friendly :) They also had lockers, which were very handy for leaving luggage!

Very very nice staff, I arrived at 9am, they re-scheduled and prepared another room for me, let us checking in early, appreciate the effort they did. And the room was stylish and clean, everything looks good and new. Good location, very close to the attractions with a reasonable price

It boasts soundproofing however when in the front (with stunning view of the square in May add) it was a bit loud with the bells and the crowds. I’m sure it would have been more quiet later at night but couldn’t take the risk.
Once I changed room from the front of the building it was very quiet. The service was efficient and very helpful.

Not their fault but parking is quite expensive.
A very nice place with helpful staff and clean, neat facilities. It is perfect for a short stay; you have everything you might need for one or two nights. Great bed and a nice bathroom. The staff was very friendly and they have a discount bonus for parking in case you need it. You cannot find a better location in Zaragoza.

The room was spacious. The bed was very big and comfy. I didnt have much hopes for it being called a hostal witch I hate but this was just as good as a hotel just without 24/7 staff.

It would have been nice to have had coffee /tea making facilities in the room .it's a there were no hooks to hang your towels in the bathroom and perhaps a little stool would have been nice to have had in the bedroom.
The location was the best! Room was lovely and clean .Silvia at the reception desk was extremely helpful and could not do enough for us. Thank you🤩

Just because I was solo travelling there was not much issue, but in general the rooms were did not seem very spacious
The hostel was very easily accesible from the main square, rooms were clean and staff were helpful
