Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustriaAs for many hotels, it was quite noisy and we could hear people next door or on the corridor. Check-in was quite slow, I think most of these details can be entered automatically or online beforehand to safe time.
Very well located hotel right at the river and in walking distance to everything in Bilbao (both Guggenheim / New Town as well as Old Town), the staff was friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable and we came by car and parked in the garage - which is a bit narrow but manageable, so that was useful, even if a bit expensive (you get a small discount if a hotel guest).

United KingdomI loved it but a rooftop terrace or outside area would have been great?? None of the hotels seemed to have either.
The hotel was located in a lovely position overlooking the river. 10 minute walk to the Old Town.. 5 minutes to The guggenheim over a bridge. The breakfast was high quality ...beautifully presented. I would have liked a choice of a fresh omlette or other eggs. There were only scrambled but other wise ab fab.

Is was our second stay in this hotel and we were again delighted. As requested we had a room towards the river. Breakfast was good. Room service quick and delivered food and drinks were fine. The location is very central. The old town and the Guggenheim are in wakling distance. And if you don't like to walk a tram stop is near.

MaltaThe heating/cooling system did not work well. There were no shower caps or other loose toiletries in the bathroom.
The location was perfect, on the riverfront and just between the Guggenheim and the Old Town. Easy walking distance to both of those and very close to the tram stop. It was great to have tea and coffee in the room. The bed was comfortable. The lobby and bar area were very pleasant. Complimentary water was appreciated.

United KingdomGreat location on the river less than 10 mins walk to the Guggenheim and about the same the other way to the old town - such a warm welcome - only one night stay but dropped off rucksacks not expecting to be able to check in yet we could which was great - Arianna on reception was exceptional - she welcomed us warmly helped us with a map of the city and made recommendations - fruity water in reception a nice touch - left luggage there the next day while we carried on our trip - only three mins to the funicular to get up to the viewpoint for 4.20 euros - well worth it - paid around £80 for the room and would def return there when I re-vist Bilbao

GreeceI think the price of the breakfast is ridiculously high. It costs 50€ for 2 adults and a child. I think the hotel brand should reconsider this.
The hotel is pretty great, in a good location with easy access to the whole central city. Our room for two adults and a child was huge, with big windows and great sun light. The service was very good and our stay was comfortable and relaxed. Thank you!

AustraliaPersonally I am not to keen on the decor in foyer and dining room. It feels a little cold and gets noisy. However, I knew that of course when I booked so not really a complaint.
It is a really good hotel. The staff were friendly and the location great and the room was quiet with very comfortable beds and pillows. We initially got a room which smelled like the previous guest had smoked, but the hotel moved us as soon as we mentioned it. The breakfast was very good and had a nice variety.

United KingdomNo air conditioning in bedroom, apparently it was switched off due to time of year. The carpet in our room was threadbare in places and is in need of replacement. The was no English breakfast tea available for rooms.
Beds were very comfortable, the shower was very good. The coffee machine was excellent as was the coffee supplied. The location was very good easy walking distance to both the old town and the guggenheim museum.

CanadaWe were there late April and the weather was cool. The room was very cold and we weren't able to adjust the heat. The hotel did provide a small portable heater and extra blankets though.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hesperia Bilbao. The location of the hotel is great. It's across the river from the busy area so it's close to everything but relatively quiet.
