Excellent stay at Holiday Inn Express Malaga. Rooms were very clean and staff were always very helpful and friendly. Great base for exploring Malaga City centre as well as being close to the airport.

This is the perfect "airport hotel" for a short overnight stay. The breakfast buffet was perfect to get a good start to a travel day.

Breakfast. Though we had a navigator the hotel premises was difficult to reach for a first time visitor at Malaga airport area.

Fair standard for the money paid. Arrived about 1 AM and everything went smoothly, quick check in and quiet room. Lots of paking space.

You need a taxi to airport you can’t walk. Taxis are 20 euros so you need to factor that into price

We were staying here as flying back to the UK the next day - we thought the hotel would be closer to the airport - we were travelling with my husbands bike (in a bag ready to fly) and he had to carry the bike across the bridge when we got off of the bus! We really could have done with a hotel courtesy bus considering the distance to the airport...

The staff here are fantastic, so helpful and obliging, they also seem to be a very happy team! The note about free toiletries if you forgot anything - why don't more hotels do this ?

Grim looking exterior. There is nothing within the area that you would feel comfortable walking to. Terrible stretch of road connecting the hotel to the main airport road. Harsh lighting in the guestrooms.

Comfortable, Cheerful common spaces. Well soundproofed windows in the guestrooms. Guestrooms are well appointed with all the essentials. Breakfast was in a nice daylit space with a good buffet and friendly staff.

The hotel is not far from the airport, but still outside the airport area. It is not within a walking distance (2,5 km maybe) and in any case there is no convenient walkpath. So despite that it is an airport hotel, a taxi or similar is needed.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, the restaurant is simple but the food is tasty. Breakfast is good. This is a good hotel for overnight stays before or after the flight.

Main criticism is that one cannot walk to the airport. That is why I chose the hotel. I was surprised that we had to spend 20 euroes for a taxi in each direction.

Shower over the bath but this is a minor issue and down to personal preference.

The staff were lovely - very helpful and happy. The room was a good size, and quiet considering its location. Really close to the airport so very convenient. Nothing to complain about. I thought it was excellent value for money. Free parking too and breakfast included.

I knew it was 21 € for the taxi but the fact that you could walk the 1,500m for free in 10 minutes makes it a bit hard to bear. Uber is only 8€ and it worked well for this price in the morning from the hotel to the airport (car rental). In the night, when we arrived at 00:10, the Uber rate started at some 9€. But there were so many passengers that the Uber rate increased to 55€ (!) until we had our luggage. So we had to wait in line for some 30 minutes to get a regular cab - and with 21€ an expensive one too. If they only had a proper sidewalk... Again, the hotel was great value in general, if Uber works, all is fine. Only the regular taxi is a pain. (With hand luggage only I still recommend to walk - you need to cross a roundabout but that's the only time you have to be cautious)

Don't expect the Ritz-Carlton but for this little money you get a comfy bed and a solid breakfast at this Holiday Inn. Staff was friendly too.
