Tourist information could be on display , we were given a Madrid map when another customer asked for one .

We found the hotel to be in a convenient place for travelling to Madrid and the nearby cities of Toledo by coach and Aranjuez by train . We had breakfast each day , Spanish continental with a fair choice , served in a pleasant dining room. Our room was serviced every day to a good standard . Getafe was bigger than we expected , we found plenty of bars in the area , there are some restaurants close by with a limited choice but no doubt there are plenty of others if researched . We did go to the Mexican nearby on 2 nights , La Vengenza de Malinche , which we really enjoyed particularly the Mariachi band on Saturday night . Carlos III is a good budget 2 star Hotel an easy train ride from Atocha station and Central Madrid and a simple 2 train ride to the airport changing at Atocha . Getafe Centro station is about a 5 minute walk once you get your bearings , Carlos III is in a narrow side street .

The hotel was super clean and modern!! I was surprised at how nice the room was. Reminded me of something I would have stayed at in North America. Breakfast options were good and someone was at the front desk 24/7 to assist with any needs. Taking the Cercania into the center of Madrid was super easy and convenient. The hotel was a 6 minute walk to the station.

We could hear the people on the rooms next door closing doors, playing music and watching TV which was difficult as we have a baby that was woken up a lot by it all.

Access to hotel’s parking was very difficult. After 15 minutes of trying to access the hotel, I surrendered and parked my car in the the public parking.

The room had a step in tub/shower. Being a short person, it was difficult and dangerous for me to use the shower. The shower head is adjustable, however, the level of the shower head was set soooooo high a short person could not reach it to adjust it. Perhaps your cleaning staff could always set the shower head to the lowest level and let the tall people adjust it upward if necessary.

the timing of the bedroom service was an odd time maybe during evening would be better

it was 24 hours which allowed us to travel more and the room was amazing and the staff tried to help us even though they didn’t speak good english!

We couldn’t purchase glasses of wine to have in the room. Only soft drinks and spirits were available.

The room was spacious and clean. It looks as though it may have been renovated recently. There was room for 2suitcases without feeling cramped.

Unfortunately, There was an incident in the center of town and the satnav couldn't direct us to the hotel. You have to press a button to enter the street to lower a bollard. This notice is only in Spanish.

It was like a hotel , very clean , great bed , I would stay again just for the bed , friendly helpfull staff , had a great chat with David on reception , what a nice guy , will definately stay again.

Hostal entrance was a little tricky to find as it's on a one way system & behind a traffic calming bollard. The hostal have to lower an electronic bollard for vehicular access. Parking garage was extremely tight to manoeuvre within. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Hostal Carlos is conveniently located just off a main shopping street & a five minute walk to Getafe Central Station. Lots of eateries nearby. Limited parking is available which I took advantage of @ 10 Euros/day. Very affordable & comfortable accommodation.
