Excellent breakfast in a comfortable dining room - with inside and outside tables. I had the most lovely seaview room. I got out to explore the town, but was happy to get back to my beautiful room. Very clean, great location.

Can be a bit hard to find a parking spot close by. There is currently a bit of building work (new paved area) being done on the sea front by the hotel but that should be finished soon.

Great location on the sea front, sea-view rooms recommended as you can hear the waves, nice restaurant directly underneath the rooms (where you will have a lovely breakfast) , very clean and well decorated and staff at hotel / restaurant were exceptional.

I visited in December 2021 and there was construction on the street below, which will go on for a long time. There is noise and dust just under your window, which is very unfortunate for the clients as well as to the hotel.

The view was amazing, just like in the photos. There was a water and instant coffee option free of cost in the lobby.

This was not the fault of the hotel but there is a lot of building work on the promenade it's not clear how long this work will continue for? The hotels café is closed as a result of this work hopefully it won't be long before it reopens

Really nice boutique hotel. Very clean and really helpful and friendly staff. The hotel contacted us to let us know that we could go into our room early which was a really nice touch The bed was really comfortable we would go back to this hotel as it was really nice.

The style, cleanliness, attention to detail. The communication from hotel leading up to our stay was fantastic, informing us if we arrived after 3pm that room would be open for us with the key in room and also about the restaurant closure and where breakfast would be served. Will definitely be returning for a longer stay to explore old parts of Altea

The mattress was a little on the soft side for liking but not too uncomfortable. This was our only tiny criticism and did nothing to make our stay anything less than excellent.

Reception on arrival was excellent and informative. All areas clean and smelling fresh. Bar/ breakfast area not available due external work outside of the hotels control, but breakfast was provided in a loca cafe and was more tha adequate for ourselves.

Casa del Mar in Altea was a delightful place to spend a holiday. Delia and all the staff in the Hostal and the Restaurant couldn’t have been any better.

Hotel was fantastic but work was going on on that stretch of beach, should be finished soon and will be lovely but a bit noisy at present. No lift but only two floors. Parking in Altea horrendous on a Sunday.

Staff were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Hotel was spotless, room had all you need including things a lot of 5 star hotels don't. Plugs for phone chargers etc on both sides of the bed, plenty of English channels on TV, nice bathroom, bed was sooo comfy, plenty of pillows, large windows/doors that you can open. Small fridge, safe, plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely sea views. Will definately go back there.

Our only criticism would be that we would’ve liked better quality toiletries and bigger towels for the price. A smart tv so people from all nationalities can watch would also be welcome.

The host, Delia, is absolutely lovely! So welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very clean and beds comfortable and the welcoming glass of cava is a very welcome treat! The view from our room was absolutely perfect.

Nothing whatsoever to dislike.

This property is located on the beach front, overlooking the sea. It’s fabulous. Clean comfortable with very friendly staff. It’s also attached to the restaurant where your breakfast (which is included) is served. They also serve other meals. Excellent overall experience. Good value for money. I’m sure I will return very soon.

Their computer system was hacked and criminals got access to their booking.com account, which included my phone number. I’m flooded with phishing messages on WhatsApp from Arabs that I ‘need to confirm my reservation’. Have been reporting and blocking several every day now. Very frustrating.

The hotel is fine. Quite nice actually. Recommendable.

I didn't like the fact, we'd been booked into room 7 and then had phone call whilst we were out after unpacking, to be told we had been given the wrong room!!. we had to return and move all of our items to room 2. We were expected to pay the same rate but we had a 20 euro discount after discussing this. Not a good start to our break !! :(

We liked the location and the breakfast and food choices were very good especially the english breakfast. The rooms were small but we realise this is a converted house.

Unfortunately we were not told that there were diggers and trucks on the beach re-shaping the beach. The noise was awful and not so relaxing, so we didn't enjoy our sea view and open windows. The noise from the downstairs restaurant was very annoying as well, as they were moving the chairs and tables there all day long - especially in the mornings and evenings. We were surprised that the hostal didn't want to acknowledge this. The heating was not working in our room, so the first night was very cold. The breakfast and especially the service in the downstairs restaurant was disappointing.

There was a sea view from our room/rooms. For the second night they gave us a room upstairs with less noise and working heating/AC. The lady at the reception was very helpful and nice.

The Hostal is on the main street, very noisy room (trafic). On the other side, on the promenade, there is a construction of the promenade going on. The room was very small, you hardly pass around the bed.
