The quality of the towels and bathroom toiletries were poor for this level of hotel. The staff that we had dealings with were mixed in terms of their level of customer service. The breakfast was very disappointing as was the fact we couldn’t get a drink at the hotel restaurant / bar as they were closing early due to not being busy (9.15pm).

The history and style of the hotel were fabulous, as was the location. It was easy to find and perfectly located for getting into Toledo centre.

Nothing to dislike, but a slight upgrade in staff English capabilities might be good. (This is not a complaint about English levels, simply a statement of reality. Communication was fine, but challenging.)

The other receptionists were very unhappy looking. When we arrived the receptionist looked at us, but did not acknowledge us. Then she spoke to 2 other people and went off to do other things. 5 mins later she said Hello, and booked us in. The young man in charge of breakfast was in no hurry to replenish the hot milk, tomato, fresh fruit or anything else he was asked for by guests (all in Spanish)

The night receptionist and one of the female day receptionists were very welcoming. The grounds of the hotel are awesome and the hotel is in a great postion for visiting Toledo.

The bed was not the most comfortable and the WiFi was virtually nonexistent. Breakfast was from 8.00am but not fully set out until 8.30am.

Great position for the escalators into the city. Good parking arrangements. Good choice for breakfast.

It was elevator in hotel, but to access our room we must use an additional steps that was not comfortable with the luggage

As with all very old properties there were things which show their age.

A beautiful historical location in an old archbishops palace with lovely period features. It is just outside the city walls so easily accessible and quiet. Lovely varied breakfast, and a cooked breakfast to order is included in the price!

Corners of the room needed better cleaning and the cold tap in the bathroom was very slow. Other hotels have provided tea and coffee making facilities and this would have been welcome here.

Beautiful surroundings and large room. Excellent location for visiting Toledo. We had a lovely drink in the garden which was reasonably priced.

When I arrived there was no access to the restaurant because of a loud wedding. My room was rather small and dark (internal). No kettle in the room and no refill on water bottle second day.

It was very pretty and atmospheric. Not a modern new hotel. The desk people were very helpful. It was just at the wall of the old city. Nearby there was an escalator to take you up. Taxis were also easy and cheap. The room was nice, the temperature was controlled by me. The bathroom I had, had a bath with lots of hot water. Breakfast , which I ate(unusually) was terrific.

The breakfast was bad. Breakfast was from 8-11 and we arrived around 9. There was very little left and it took a long time for fresh food to come. Eggs and avocado were all finished. Very little bread and cold meat left. Coffee was cold. If there were an option I would skip the breakfast and save you the money.

Would have preferred a cafetière of coffee with breakfast as I don’t like the machines coffeee is always too cold for me but that’s just me being a bit picky I suspect!

The hotel is stunning, staff so helpful and friendly even though my Spanish is less than useful ie non existent!!! Found a secure place to leave our pushbikes , reccomended restaurants for us as the hotel one was not available. The breakfast was magnificent! Wow what a setting highly recommend a visit here just wish we could have stayed longer, will try and return in spring or autumn .

A minor issue. The hotel was very empty but they still decided to put us in a room adjacent to another family which was a bit noisy since we could heart them through the walls. Given there were so many empty rooms they could have spread us out a bit.

The hotel is an historic building with an amazing feeling. It has a lovely garden but in December we were not really able to make use of it.

We received ticket in the parking area. We paid the meter at designated time. We selected visiting, when we should have selected neighbors. Language barrier, but traffic troll gave us a ticket even after we spoke with him. Hotel should have advised us to use the public lot 1/4 mile away.
