Location was great, near of the main things and the metro. Water temperature and presion are good, Internet work well. The staff the super nice, they help us with recomentadion and things to do, also be able to leave the baggages.

The owner was incredibly welcoming. She was very helpful and made us feel home. The rooms were cleaned everyday, we enjoyed. If I come back to Madrid, I will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect!! We had an early flight in the morning and the owner walked with us to the taxi. Thank you for that 😃

The location of the hostel was very central, everything is in walking distance. The room is comfortable enough, it is cleaned daily and the hosts are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it if you want to be in the middle of all the happenings in the historical Madrid.

the women (sorry, didn’t get their names) didn’t speak much English but were so helpful & everything went smoothly. we had to book very last minute also due to an issue with our other accommodation & they were very quick to respond and sort us out. the accommodation is in the centre of Madrid and it is just lovely and welcoming.

Fantastic location right in the heart of things. Staff are lovely and property is as described on a pedestrian shopping street (apart from taxi hotel drops or police). Adjacent to a great bar Street Calle de Barcelona. Some people may be put off by some noise from revellers returning home - but we weren’t.

The room and bathroom were small but everything you needed was there.

The location of the hostal was very central, in a great position. The building itself was traditional and full of character. The owners were incredibly welcoming, helpful and informative. The nicest of hosts. The room and bathroom were very clean and linen changed frequently. There was storage space in built in wardrobes and under the bed. The windows were double glazed to cut down any noise from the street below and there were shutters against sun and occasional noise. There was air conditioning in the room. The quality of the hotel belies the hostal * with which it is credited.

The memory foam mattress did not work for me personally because it’s too soft, but that’s just me and should not be an issue for the majority of the people. Also, as mentioned, the window soundproof is really good, but obviously can’t block all the loud noise, which is not the property’s fault. Bring the earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The location is 10+ for a short trip when you don’t have any spare time to waste. Mercedes, the host lady, was extremely friendly and helpful with any kinds of questions. She welcomed us like old friends and made us feel at home even though we spoke almost no Spanish )) The room was a little dated, but cozy and super clean. It was also cleaned daily. The soundproof on the window is really good.

The room was clean and comfortable with an amazing central location. The host was so friendly and despite our poor Spanish she did everything to help us have a good stay- helping out with local tips and things to make our stay easier. Would 100% recommend.

Mercedes (innkeeper) was very helpful and accommodating. The hostel is located right in Puerta Del Sol. It is so convenient for shopping, tapas crawl, many other tourist attractions and just checking out all the wonderful buildings. We had a wonderful stay. Mercedes also arranged for a taxi to airport at the hostel door so that we did not have to walk to the taxi stand in rain. She was up early (7 am) to let us know the driver was at hotel. Highly recommended.

No directions to find which floor etc when we arrived. The sign tells you the code to get into block Its on floor 3. Large shared pillow for 2 people. This is a very Spanish thing but not for us.

Location of the place is very central and can be noisy sometimes. But this is how it is if you stay on the main streets.

Run by 2 adorable sisters this budget hotel is a perfect place to crash after a hard day of touristing. Smack dab in the middle of basically everything, just tumble out of the door and breakfast is a 5 minute walk and then the biggest decision is whether to go North, South, West or East.

Being in the premium location that it is, there are some street noises that cannot be avoided in rooms that have windows overlooking the main Paseo.

One could not find a more delightful place to stay in the Puerta del Sol/Plaza Mayor area. What we liked most was Mercedes, the proprietor. She answered our questions and was happy to supply any extras we needed.
