The room and particularly the bathroom is small. Ok for one or two nights. Noisy pedestrian traffic woke me up a few times during the night.

Location was excellent. Within walking distance of major museums, my main draw.

The free croissant and coffee were not the best, but if you are on a tight budget would do. We treated ourselves to the cafe on the corner, only €3.90 for croissant and coffee.

Marcus gave us lots of top tips for places to eat. Great restaurants close by, cheap and non touristy. Also, on booking, I requested a quiet room because I'd read some of the reviews. We had a really quiet room at the back.

This place is ideally situated, you don't need the metro for the main Madrid's sightseeings. It's surrounded by restaurants. Tapas bars and there is a little Carrefour just behind. The owner Pablo is very kind and helpful, explains you everything, gives you tips for places to go to eat or to visit. It's a very simple place but for me and my daughter it was perfect. We stayed 4 nights. Comfortable beds.

A bit loud at night, specially if your room is facing the main street. This is only an issue for light sleepers like myself!

The location is absolutely perfect! Very close to Sol and other attractions. The hosts - Pablo specifically was very nice and accommodating! Room looked like photos, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend for a short stay that is central in the heart of Madrid.

Noisy

The family that runs this place was amazing. They told us about how to get free museum tickets at night their favorite restaurants for all different sensibilities, and we’re overall super accommodating when we first arrived the electricity was out in the city because of holy week it was restored by the time we came back in the evening. The location was superb to all the things you want to do in the city center. I only issue was that the walls and ceilings are quite thin and there’s a family who lives above the room we stayed in who made quite a bit of noise until 1230 at night. my niece was able to sleep through with earplugs, but I was not. So if you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider an alternative. Great value and super friendly. And they put out coffee and little pastries every morning.

Good for a short trip Madrid, came for a couple nights with a friend and would definitely repeat.
