We had the pilgrims meal and thought it was basic and not great value for money. We would probably chose to just eat in the restaurant or elsewhere another time.

Great facilities and super clean, really comfortable beds. Good service at reception. It was great having a common area with couches where you could relax and socialise without disturbing others.

The prlgrims dinner was very disappointing, we were 8 people and it was cold and we got a cold pasta salad, a chichen soup and a tin of yogurt with a packet of sugar??? Really?? After a whole day of walking? The other people that ordered from the menu got a big plate of food for the same price, so rather order from the menu!!!

The alcoholic drinks were very expensive and as the room was shared by so many people, would not recommend for light sleepers or if you like more privacy but it was fine for my needs.

The restaurant being downstairs was very convenient and the host was always available to give local information or serve food. There was a nice terrace area which was great for sorting out belongings and meeting other travellers.

Excellent accommodation, as advertised. Spacious dormitory with both bunk and single beds. I slept in one of the single beds and found it very comfortable. There were two bathrooms/toilets attached to the dormitory, which was adequate for the 13 occupants. There was also a working washing machine, a large common room for relaxing and a terrace. I had the pilgrim meal for dinner. Three courses for £12: Pssta and cheese for starter, meat and chips for main course and a yoghurt for postre. Also included was a bottle of wine. In my opinion excellent value for money.

The bar tender late afternoon/ evening was very disrespectful and rude. She shouted at pilgrims if they didn’t understand what she was saying. She gave the impression that she didn’t want to serve pilgrims or really anyone! She needs to be coached in dealing with customers. We were there two years ago and she was rude then and still is. The hostal is a very good overnight experience - except for her. I doubt if we’ll return. Management should observe her performance in the evening.
