Family-run local hotel right in the centre of town. Easy street parking right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the small balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the lake. Very good value for money. The hosts were all friendly and helpful. Each morning we had the full breakfast (paid I think €8) which was very, very good and great value. Highly recommend.

Price was expensive, especially for food in the hostal. No vegan meals except salad and the resturant with vegan options next door was closed. Also food isn't served till 20:30 which is quite late. We ordered soup but be aware this speciality of the region includes soaked bread in the soup. No self catering.

We found WiFi connectivity was slow in our room despite various routers being available. While the bed was comfortable, it had memory foam, and there was no air conditioning. It is hard to stay at a comfortable temperature.

While the bedroom was quite small, it had a small enclosed balcony, typical of many dwellings in the region. The windows could be opened to get fresh air but were a great way of soundproofing the room, and the night was quiet. The town is small and peaceful anyway. The "Cafeteria" seems to be a community hotspot and very unassuming. The food was excellent, serving simple honestly home-cooked regional food, which we would highly recommend. There was a choice of simple or bigger continental style breakfast. There was only one staff member who spoke English, but they were very friendly and patient as we tried to communicate with our limited Spanish. Parking was possible and free on the street outside, and the motorcycles were safe overnight. Easy to find and great location for touring in the Picos de Europa.

Food was not as good as I'd hoped. Small high up window in the bedroom was a bit claustrophobic.

Nice hostal, lovely people. Beautiful scenery but the town Riano lacking in character. Not surprising given the circumstances.

This was an ideal place for 1 night. We were travelling back to the north of Spain. A wonderful view of the lake and mountains. One must go to the swing on the hill. Fantastic views. All the staff were good. The evening meal and breakfast were superb.

The host and hostess were particularly friendly and helpful. Everything was as described. The hotel was well maintained with traditional decor. The room and small balcony had views through to the stunningly beautiful lakes and mountains. Riano is so small that everywhere was convenient

Only on street parking for motorcycles. But not a problem.

Bedrooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant evening meals and breakfast were superb. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Wi-Fi works ok for emails and basic web browsing. Too slow for streaming or in my case YouTube upload. Not really an issue!

A Great location as a base for exploring the Picos. I was on a motorbike trip and had got wet and cold. I was checked in and soon recovered. The room was warm which was just what I needed and a real fire burning in the bar. I parked my bike right outside the hotel entrance. Its a safe location and my bike was visible from the room. I was offered undercover parking at the back of the hotel, but this was fine. My room also had a balcony overlooking the street, reservoir and mountains.
