What to improve in kitchen: more chopping boards. Sharper knives. More spices to use. Have system to mark FREE food (that guests leave after check-out). Need to correctly install extraction pipes, as extraction fans from cookers do not go outside(!) but mix hot air within kitchen.

clean and modern hotel/hostel, has shared kitchen and eating area. Good location. Staff are positive and helpful. They agree to keep your bags before check-in/after check-out.

It was noisy and the shower is just one cabin without place to get dressed. That made me feel very uncomfortable as the only woman sleeping with four men. It made me not take a shower in the morning.

Unclear instructions in room about laundry ie. Handing it in to reception on leaving .. not required but stated was.

We smelled a little of cigarette smoke, seemed our neighbors smoked in room. I don’t consider it totally hotel problem as they have a striked policy and said to as that it is forbidden.

The double bed had just one long pillow. Shower constantly changes temperature. Noise from other rooms. The area of the hostel didn't feel too safe at night. The room was more dated than images on booking.com The toilet in the room was like a small square shape. Very strange.

The room was a little bit too hot. We tried putting on the AC but this did not really work. Also in the kitchen it was a little bit too hot. I would have liked a somewhat colder climate inside.

Very friendly people at the reception. The room and showers were very clean. The bed was comfortable as well. Well equipped kitchen. They allowed me to use the kitchen for a short while after check-out which I feel was very generous. Location is also great, close to the bus and train station and walking distance to a Lidl and a Dia.

The kitchen is too small and lacks equipment, f.eks a kettle. Its single sink is really not enough. The microwave was dirty.

- there’s no real option to make coffee or tea, at least a water boiler or kettle would be nice. Now you had to boil water in a pot, with children sometimes running around that didn’t always felt safe when pouring. - more a hint, there is no marker and tape or stickers provided to label your food with. - the beds are too close too each other, whenever someone turned I woke up. Or curtains or another set up would be nicer. Like f.i. The bed in the middle could be put at the place where the lockers are now. And 3 of them go to the wall between the two beds and one locker stays at the same wall. That way one would not only have more privacy but there would be more space to put your luggage. The mezzanine with the other bunk bed looked cozy and more airy with more light. On second thoughts up there would have been better for claustrophobic people like me. But as I only stayed 3 days and already had to change rooms (on my demand) due to a weird creepy guy in the other I didn’t. The curtains are darkening but the system to open if you wanted a bit of daylight in the prison feel room didn’t work properly. Still I'm glad I visited Cartagena. And probably would come back to this place

Well (at least in winter) there is basically only one hostel(/hotel) in Cartagena. The pictures pretty much matched my expectations cause the place looked a bit claustrophobic to me and it is. Especially the dorms and the basement common room (no windows). But that said (I even never did the slide thing in my life due to my claustrophobia) it is a descent place. With nice staff. Very friendly cleaning staff. It’s located next to the busstation and train station. And the kitchen is spacious and for cooking wel equipped. I liked the fact that the washing machines had their own built-in washing soap. Luckily there’s also a roof terrace with the basic chairs and lounge chairs. Limited but enough if you can add your own blanket etc. Though I wasn’t found of the prison feel dorms, it's was luxury to have so many sinks in the room and being able to leave your stuff at the sink.

I booked two double rooms and the photos showed double beds, so that’s what I expected but we got two rooms with single bunks for private use. Not exactly what we expected but really not a big deal.

This is a totally great hostel!!! Nice architecture, impeccable position, nicely organized, comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!

A basic room, it was good that there's a kichen to use. Overall it was rather expensive for the price I paid for 🥲 I was charged with a higher price

I couldn't book a room with just women even though they seemed to have plenty of rooms and I saw at least three women apart from me so I imagine with a bit of good will, they could have tried to hold a women's room. There was no little shelf for things like glasses, phone, cabinet key or in my case, hearing aids. It was way too hot. The first night it was 25 degrees C. The next night a member of staff turned it off so now it was "only" 22 degrees. I image that sharing with a number of women would be a bit quieter. The guy next to me came in both nights at midnight and had an unusual way of snoring. Every time the guy above me turned over, my bed was shaking. There is a shower room and a separate toilet but no fan in the shower room so very hot and humid. I didn't feel comfortable putting my clothes on in the bedroom and the shower room was so sticky, my underwear stuck to me and I couldn't put on my sports bra. This is a problem I wouldn't have had in a women only room. I could have asked for help or sat in the bedroom in my towel until I had cooled down. Men generally don't understand these concerns.

Communication was good, the bed was clean. The bed linen was cotton. I did get a bottom bed as I had asked for. The washing machine was great and my clothes dried as well. Light and plug to charge my phone by the bed. Central location near bus and train station and in the old part of Cartagena.

It was super hot everywhere inside and no air. The location is ok during the day but it's not recommended to walk around after sunset, which is a big problem if you want to go out for dinner

It was noisy the first night. The boiler kept switching on and off every couple minutes at night and it made quite a lot of noise. But the problem was gone for the rest of my stay.

What would be nice is having a kettle for hot water.

I was in this hostel before so knew what to expect. I also have passed on the name of this hostel to other travelers. What I like is they give you this package with the sheets and.....a towel this is such good karma for a hostel. I also like the shower none of that push button stuff. Check in is great there is an actual person in reception as there should be. The reception staff are nice and very professional and efficient something is not always the case in other hostels.

Very happy with my stay, only one small thing would have added to it - a couple of chairs to have been able to sit on balcony!

Lovely big room, comfortable bed, very clean, fab shower , nice kitchen facilities available. Very close to train/bus station and city centre around a 10 min walk.
