How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Maybe they can create a quiet “library room” so that some people can finish their work more efficiently.
The staff there are very friendly, making the whole environment fun and welcoming. The facilities are great, including hot water, coffee, etc. all the time.

Location super prime & near most of the attractions. Super nice & helpful staff. Bed were comfy, locker space was spacious to fit my bag pack & cabin size suitcase & curtain for privacy. Bathroom were clean. There are fun & unique activities. Community free dinners. Even though it's a party hostel.. it is quite silent even before midnight.

Everything was impeccable. Nothing to complain about
Living in this hostel was an amazing experience! It was one of my best trips so far, the staff was super friendly, and the hostel was very safe. The environment is very cozy and welcoming. I really appreciated the evening meals as well as various activities organised by the hostel. I highly recommend this place for your next stay in Barcelona. I’ll definitely come back here again👌

Loved my stay here! Perfect stay for solo travellers. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The rooms were, clean, cool and spacious, with plenty of storage! There’s plenty of social activities for you to get involved with. Daily walks/tours, family dinner every evening and a bar/club every night of the week.

I came to Barcelona for one day and this hostel was perfect. The staff are wonderful and very helpful people, especially Paige ( Thank you:) ). There are many activities to choose from and a free mean in the evening, which helps bring people together. I definitely recommend it!

I really enjoyed :)
I really enjoyed staying in this Hostel. The stand are super friendly, the rooms and bathrooms are clean. When I get back to Barcelona I will definitely stay there.

The hostel has an amazing family atmosphere. You can meet a lot of people. This was my first hostel experience and I am surprised at how comfortable I felt. This will definitely not be my last time in Onefam ❤️ I already miss it...

I had an absolutely amazing time during my one-night stay. As a loyal fan of Onefam, I had high expectations, and I must say, they were exceeded. What truly made my stay exceptional were the incredible staff members, Noe and Paige. Hostel location is in the city center where you can find everyhing. Hostel staff is really friendly and helpful. They would like to host u feel at your home. Neo is the so friendly and talkative , ı’d like to bracket for her. I hope ı can stay there again. There are lots of events. Strongly recommend

As the place is not super big, there are not a lot of spots where you can hide away from everyone and be alone for a bit. That is something to keep in mind if you value alone time.
What a lovely, homely place. Onefam Batlló is truly a home away from home. Kindest staff, very social (the hostel hosts daytime outings and free common room meals with some drinks in the hostel and bar/nightlife outings in the evening/night) and the place is kept tidy and clean. Lots of solo travellers when I was there who were all very open and kind (and not glued to their phones!).
