- The spa (either at an extra charge of 16 € or included in a more expensive room rate) was quite disappointing: to start with, one has to sign up for a 2h window (5-7 or 7-9 pm) in which the spa area can be used, and one has to buy a cap for the hair (3 €) in addition to any usage fees. The pool then was the nicest part and reasonably warm as well. However, the sauna and steam bath were a huge disappointment - even 1h after the start of my pre-registered slot the sauna was still only at 46° (my colleagues told me it was the same problem when they were staying here last November) and the steam bath was also not really warm. Furthermore, some areas of the spa were visibly dirty, the wood in the sauna looked very used and not hygienic to be on and also corners or ceilings were rusty/worn. Due to this disappointing experience I decided not to visit the spa area anymore on my second day - and unless it's included in the room rate, I would not recommend to spend the extra money for this spa. - some details and maintenance should be improved, e.g. windows didn't open/close easily and had some broken hinges, shower door didn't close properly (it was a bit tilted and thus scratching on the floor)

The bed was a bit loud, even when you were just rolling around on it it made a lot of noise.

Everything was great. the sound proofing was very good (our room was near the restaurant and kitchen). The SPA is great and all the staff was really kind and amazing.

I can say nothing. Everything was perfect

The staff makes this property absolutely different. Marta in the reception desk gave us plenty of useful info. She told us everything we needed to know about how the hotel worked. In the restaurant, Fran told us many things about the food and the town (Allariz) itself. The food was delicious (rice, cheese). The room was comfortable, having a balcony in front of a quiet garden. The buffet breakfast was both good and diverse enough, with quality products. Due to lack of time, we did not try the spa facilities. The parking was for free

Although the bathroom was really nice, its main wall was clouded glass, wish meant that if someone went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the light, it lit up the whole bedroom. Not the end of the world - just meh.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Not the best wifi. Wasn’t aware when booking that the restaurant is plant-based food only in the evening. I’m not vegan, but I do love vegetables and vegetarian cuisine, so happy to try it. The dishes were OK, but nothing to write home about. Breakfast does include meat, cheese and eggs, so not sure why the menu couldn’t cater to all tastes.

The shower was disgusting! We have never seen anything like this, and we have stayed at lots of hotels. The explanation is probably quite simple: this being a bath/spa/relax hotel, most people probably use those facilities and then use the private showers to remove whatever is left from those experiences, and the showers 'take a beating' from that use ... but still, there is no excuse not to deep clean or change the tiles/plates when they are clearly "not white". The shower was so "brown" that not only did we not take a shower, but had to keep the door closed whilst taking a bath (the bathtub was clean; probably because no one uses it after they bathe in the spa facilities) so that we didn't see the interior of the shower. I'm still in shock every time I think about the state/look of that shower. My partner even took a photo to make sure we hadn't imagine what we saw if anyone ever questioned what we saw.

The room size was fantastic! The bed was large and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is idyllic, surrounded by a large green garden, and next to a lovely river with a small beach zone. That said, the idyllic surroundings are somewhat countered by the institutional vibe of the hotel architecture i.e. it reminded me of a place where people go to retire or recover from something. The hotel has a large range of bath/spa/relax facilities, so that vibe is perfectly understandable, but we weren't there to enjoy the bath/spa/relax facilities, so it felt a bit dystopian. The place reminded me of Kazuo Ishiguro's brilliant novel "Never Let Me Go".
