How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed mattress was a little on the hard side.
A really nice greeting at check in which was very welcome after a long day travelling. There was a buzzing atmosphere in the reception area which leads into the restaurant area and outside eating and drinking areas. Free parking at the hotel was great.

Very tired and basic decor in room (better in communal spaces) No drink facilities in room

Nice breakfast €8.50; great location C6 Bus outside is 10min to Airport 20min to city. Staff very friendly and helpful; nice provision to sit outside in the sun. Great value, laid back experience. Would recommend to anyone

staff need to be a bit more organized..seems not sure of questions ask and ask to have taxi book forgot to...very slow to come to the reception desk for check out. Confusing rule to eat dinner and who to ask.

It was very hot in the room. The location was not perfect. Toilet like on the ferry.

It is distant from the city
Close to the airport, but not by foot, taxi costs about 16 eur We arrived around 00:30 but pizza and pasta were available at the restaurant which was great

Some basic maintenance issues - bathroom door was completely off its hinges for example.
Great location, close to airport and main route into town but very quiet. As usual at Ibis, a decent breakfast and really nice staff.

Be aware this hotel is quite out of the way of things. Although it looks like it's close to the beach, the actual beach access is very far away (there's a big fence that blocks access out front). The room was very stuffy and the fan didn't seem to work at all.
Cheap and cheerful. Rooms were clean and decently comfortable, a good size for a single person or couple. Breakfast had a good variety of stuff. The pizza at the in-house restaurant was pretty good!

Booking.com advertised this hotel with breakfast included . I was told otherwise so I'm disappointed that Booking.com does this to people. Don't advertise if you're not going to deliver....
Hotel is descent with ok bus connection to centre.

The location Is great from the airport 10 min drive, we got a bus just for the experience 😀 the town centre (Central) was about 15 drive away nothing more local
The staff was multilingual, English, French and Spanish great if someone needed translator. It was a basic room that done the job, we only in the room to sleep. The fun is outside

This is not the fault of the staff but perhaps the management need to look into it. We noticed that the restaurant during the evenings was very understaffed. One evening the poor girl appeared to be totally alone in the dining and bar area taking orders cooking and also clearing tables and payments. She was really struggling but kept smiling and did her very best. She certainly earned her wages that night
The Ibis was a very pleasant stay. A little bit remote from the town of Alicante but easily accessible by the C6 bus which stops virtually outside the hotel and costs 3.95 euros. A little tip if you are over 65 a seniors ticket is only 95 cents. You just need to show your passport . All of the staff at the Ibis were very friendly and nice. Room's cleaned daily The breakfast was very tasty but the dining area can be busy but in our 3 day's there we never had a problem. The Seranno ham is delightful 😊 All in all a very pleasant experience. Thank you

It was fine but it felt very basic. I’d been 4 nights in a hotel in Almería which was much more upmarket yet was much cheaper ie 40€ part night ibis was 70 €?
