Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe fact that one has to pay additionally for a safe in their room. It's so unclassy. Food should be of better quality for a 4 star hotel.

United KingdomThere was a problem with security and the customer services were not up to scratch in relation to the serious incident. I'd have given a 10 for this visit if I had received a response to our requests for assurances that the hotel would endeavour to protect the guests from being burgled. Due to the new laws about air conditioning in Spain, folks are leaving windows and doors open at night. We were on the first floor and the burgular had to climb across two balconies to rob us of our passport, phone, money and personal possessions. The other two rooms were easier to rob. The hotel has not warned guests of the regular break-ins going on at this hotel. The hotel should be giving safes for free to all those on the ground floor and tell guests to make sure they secure all their possessions and be aware that leaving a balcony door open at night, makes it easy for thieves to break in and potentially ruin thei holiday.
This hotel is excellent for a holiday stay in La Paz, Puerto De La Cruz. The food is decent, the rooms are a good size, the pools and the gardens are very nice to lounge in.

Very helpful staff- we had an issue with our room door which was not closing and they helped us to solve this very quick. great view to the Mountain and good location. Not closed to the ocean but there is buss from hotel to the coast which is free.

United KingdomThe man in charge of the dining room was a jobsworth & clearly took great delight in slapping a bill for drinks down on guests’ tables. There had been NO mention of half board guests having to pay for drinks when we checked in. His manner was rude & confrontational. 6€ for two small glasses of coke! So much noise at night from other guests, people outside, & the loud music from the bar opposite. The food was a bit hit & miss. Freezing cold pool.
Very clean. Comfortable beds. Nice view of mount Teide.

United KingdomBritish visitors (not this hotel specific). Somehow I feel like some people need a brochure how to behave around others. All inclusive doesn't mean "trash the food". Be as clean as you want your environment to be. Smoking all around the place.
Big pool, view, time schedule for food services. Variety of food is sufficient each day, but not Spanish specifics, everything tastes the same.

NorwayI didn't like that our room was opposite to a pub that was playing loud music to wee hours every single night. The view was fantastic from that side of the hotel, looking to the whole Orotava. But I wish we had the view to the sea much quieter as there were no pubs on that side!
Location was very good for walking back and forth from the old town but too nearby pubs and noisy places Breakfast was abundant and assorted but too industrial for the bread and the cold cuts. A very good point they earned with the soy/ lactose free milk and the variety of fruit and cereals. And the best was the staff, all of them from reception to breakfast waiters to the cleaners. Really friendly, helpful and committed to give the best service!

United KingdomThe food really let this place down. we ended up eating out after a day or two. Very repetitive and bland to say the least. No love goes into the meals. Breakfast is ok, can’t really go wrong there a bit of everything for everyone. lunch and dinner however always consisted of some sort of pork loin or dry fish, with plain pasta or rice. wasn’t very appealing to the eye or tastebuds. Even the pizza wasn’t great. but plenty local restaurants in walking distance to choose from! so wasn’t that bothered.
Pool was great, bar right there (you do have to pay €1 for a plastic cup), but you get it back. This didn’t bother me at all, if anything it kept the pool free of unused cups and they give you a new one every time you get a new drink. Same of pool towels €10 charge, but you can change them as you like and get your money back once you hand it back in. room and view were fantastic. We were on the 5th floor, which overlooked the sea. Spectacular view! Cleaning lady was lovely and came by every day to clean, although sheets weren’t changed. Just tidied the beds over the 5 days we were there. She did give us fresh towels if we asked and cleaned the room daily. Bar staff are pleasant enough and so are the staff in the eating halls. very efficient in cleaning and making space for pple to eat. Hotel location is good, short taxi ride around €4 into main town. You can also walk, but we didn’t. Also took the bus to the beach €15 for the day. it drops you really early and drops you back early evening which is good. You can use facilities in two neighbouring hotels. Spa facilities in one (€10 per hour) and indoor pool in another which is a bonus on rainy days. Loads of restaurants and shops nearby so lots of variety to eat out. Was all inclusive, drinks were pretty good except cocktails. They were made from a machine and weren’t great. Apart from that, can’t complain about the drinks. Entertainment was limited, but it is their off season, so I can’t comment much on that. Did see some games by the pool on warmer days which drew a good crowd.

PolandI've stayed in way nicer places cheaper. Room cleaning was sloppy. Small swimming pool, some sunbeds were in bad shape. Food needs more variety, every day just melon as fruit. IMO coffee was not very good.
Decent hotel, quite clean, food was mostly very good, all inclusive drinks were good. Very friendly staff, animations, we could use 2 other Bluesea hotels infrastructure. Our room was decent, comfortable beds.

PortugalThe check-in was a really bad experience. The staff wasn't nice and they speak really poor english. We made a reservation for 3 adults with a booking suggestion and even with a proof showing that was saying ideal for 3 adults, we payed an extra because they said we should be 2 adults and 1 child. At the end, it wasn't about the money but the way we were treated.
Even if the staff from the reception weren't friendly, the staff from the meals room were really really friendly. The food is nice, but after some days it's a little bit repetitive. The rooms are pretty ok and the beds also.

United KingdomNice and clean, the room a good size. The food was good, not amazing but not awful either. Most staff were very friendly. Nice places around the north but mostly were travelling to the south so if most of your activities are in the south I would suggest staying there and saving yourself the 1hr+ journey there and back. Some nice evening activities too, again not amazing but fun either way.
