Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe loved our 3 night stay at Ipunga, it's so peaceful and beautifully styled. Breakfast and lunchtime snacks are really fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend visiting Casa Piedra restaurant which is a 20 minute walk away, our meal was amazing.

United KingdomNothing - I would remind people to bring mosquito spray though! Like most holiday destinations near water there are a few of them flying around. There was some spray there for guests to use if they didn't have their own but we didn't work that out until too late!
Such a beautiful and peaceful boutique hotel! Two dogs and a few chickens roaming around. Pool area is very relaxing and picturesque. Breakfast was relatively simple but great- good coffee, pastries and fresh fruits/ yoghurt etc and the hosts are very friendly. A lovely place to stay!

United KingdomWe loved absolutely everything! The property is beautiful and Elliot and his team made the stay perfect. We loved the breakfast, lunch and honesty bar. The room and pool area are all stunning. We particularly enjoyed the intimate and relaxed feel to the place yet it was still easy to get a taxi into town for a night out.

United KingdomNothing! It’s a little further out than some hotels so you should bear this in mind when ordering taxis etc, but this adds to the retreat experience in my opinion.
Everything. From the minute you arrive it’s an amazing experience, was really impressed.

United Arab EmiratesThe location was perfect for the Ibiza traveller who wants to enjoy seeing the Island. The zen, relaxed vibe, centered in the middle of the mountain was stunning, as was the decor. Everything had been thought out intricately, and the owners - Elliot, his wife, their two dogs, and cat - were so friendly and helpful hosts. The veg comes from the veggie garden, along with the eggs from their chickens. They were great to be able to cater for me being vegan. I'll be back next year!

United KingdomHonestly nothing. We love walking , so don’t mind the walks to local locations but most people might find having a car useful.
AMAZING! A stunning bohemian boutique hotel just outside Cala Llonga. We wanted a hotel that was high end but away from the hard party scene. Also close enough to stuff that we didn’t have to have a car. This hotel is stunning, beautiful grounds and pool, set within a lovely pine forest. Very tastefully decorated. Calm and relaxing. Bathroom has an excellent shower. Shampoo / conditioner / shower gel provided. Our room had a lovely little outside area. Breakfast was exceptional. Delicious , fresh and filling. A real highlight. Staff all fantastic and friendly and approachable. The hotel is 35 minutes walk from Cala Llonga , and can be reached on very quiet roads. Bike hire also available (think this was 10 euros a day). You can walk to a bus stop (45 minutes) to get a bus into Ibiza old town. This walk was on a busier road , and would not advise during night, so a taxi is better to get to this location (20 minutes about 25 euros). If you like hiking, you can find some great hikes from the hotel. Particularly the Cala Llonga to Santa Eulària (some steep bits) but stunning. Cala Oliver is a cove beach that would highly recommend in the area. Amante for morning yoga (needs booking in advance) can be walked to within 35 minutes. A great hotel in a great area for a peaceful Ibiza stay.

United KingdomDue to the remote inland location, car hire (from the airport) is essential and some Taxis can't find the resort as no sign from the road or even at the entrance (we got late to a gorgeous restaurant because the taxi we ordered didn't find us and we finally got the third one we booked, 45 minutes after the first phone call reservation, prompting us to hitch a ride to the airport in order to get a hire car for the last day of our stay at the resort.
The simple elegance of this low-key but well-designed small and peaceful private resort; the warmth of the proprietors/managers; the modern comforts of the rooms (Aircon, separate WC to the walk-in shower, his&hers sinks, terrace with daybed) with a wonderful inviting pool at your door

United KingdomThe property is a little bit off the beaten track but you can walk into Cala Llonga on a dirt path which was fine. There are no signs at the end of the road for the property which was confusing for taxi drivers when we were trying to go home.
Location was very peaceful and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the rooms were very comfortable.

Nestled in a beautiful pine woodland, Ipunga Ibiza is secluded and peaceful. The tranquil setting is perfect for unwinding and totally switching off. The location is perfect for accessing the beautiful beaches on the north, east coastline, sightseeing in Ibiza town or visiting the marina at Santa Eulalia. The pool area is gorgeous and the breakfasts and lunches are delicious. Elliott and his wife are so accommodating and their teams are just lovely too. First and foremost, the owners were incredibly friendly. The hotel was peaceful and quiet but near all the best spots in Ibiza. The breakfast was home made and delicious, from bread to eggs to fruit to pastries. The rooms were new and super comfortable and clean. Free parking spots and unlimited beverages are worthy of bonus points as well. We didn’t book a massage or yoga session but these are great options too. Definitely worth our money! We’ll come back for sure.
