The room was absolutely lovely , the bed was like sleeping in my own bed . It was spacious and comfortable with a coffee machine , toiletries and air conditioning . I had a lovely breakfast of fruit , pastries and meat and cheese .

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on our first night (after staying in a hotel in Ribadesella where their restaurant had been closed on the two nights of our stay). Tita pointed us towards a choice of three eateries in town.

Despite proximity to to Autovia, soundproofing was excellent. Beautifully modern boutique restaurant with rooms decorated in modern (Scandi?) style. Delightful family run business. Thoroughly deserved Michelin Award for the restaurant - first class dinner and breakfasts - and the accommodation. Wish we could have stayed another night.

Everything was perfect.

My fiancee and I had the pleasure of staying here recently for two nights. Our visit to Spain was two weeks during which we stayed in five different hotels. Hotel Javier Montero was by far our favorite. The owners and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We arrived late at night due to car trouble, and even though the hotel reception was closed , we were accommodated and shown to our room personally. The room itself was comfortable and very clean. There is a peaceful feel to the area which makes it easy to relax. The hotel and restaurant are beautifully decorated and much care went into ensuring every detail of our stay went above our expectations. Also, I am so happy we had the chance to eat dinner at the restaurant. Our meal was more than delicious and the service was perfect. It was an experience that we won't forget and my fiancee still talks about it. This is a very special place and we look forward to visiting again. Next time we will learn more Spanish before we visit so we can communicate with the owners and staff easier.

Room was a bit cozy but top notch.

First chose this because of location and what looked like a good restaurant. The reality blew us away. Yes, it’s right by the freeway (though still quiet), but from there I can only rave about the care the owner/chef and his wife showed. Completely newly renovated in 2019 with landscaped grounds, the microcosm is perfect. But the restaurant tops it all. One of the best dinners on our foodie/winery tour - completely unexpected! Wonderful local wine list. A real find we will be talking about for quite a while. (Just because of the rave, we didn’t know anything but internet look up about the place and have no other connection to it.)

Chef owned restaurant and small hotel (4 rooms). hotel rooms were modern; bed really comfortable. we had the tasting menu at dinner by Javier Montero who was previously at Michelin starred restaurants. It was incredible. The property is just a the outskirts of a charming small town. Delightful to take a walk about the harbor and explore. We were treated like family guests.

Fabulous! Very relaxing, as if we were being greeted by friends. We had a wonderful meal, cooked by the talented Javier and his team. His wife is delightful, making us feel at home. Lovely modern bedroom. Very convenient for walking into Ribadeo, which is a delightful town. Turn right out of the main driveway gates for the shortest walk into town, or left under the A8, then right to follow the camino trail along the estuary, past the port and narrow streets back into the town centre. Despite being near the A8, we couldn't hear the traffic and I'm a light sleeper.

Only the weather, but not entirely unexpected, as it does tend to rain in Galicia

Wonderful breakfasts with great coffee prepared by Javier himself. We dined a la carte in the restaurant one evening, service, food and wines were all amazing. The best lobster I have ever eaten, every mouthful had a different dimension of flavour and texture.

Only issue could be double beds are smaller than usual so not so comfy for two people. Everything else was excellent.

The room was comfortable and extremely clean. Important in this COVID times. Owners manage the place by themselves and are very personable. Location is not so close to main part of town but not too far either.

The hotel was more about food (Michelin), but it was clean and modern. There was a Birthday Party at night which went on until 01:30 and the outside lights remained on until 02:20 with light leakage into our bedroom making it difficult to sleep.

Beautiful Hotel and the location was good. Breakfast was also good.
