Very romantic location and room. Perfect for a weekend stay in Peñíscola. Very good communication from the hotel regarding the situation relating to parking in the area.

Not their fault, but i would like to know beforehand, that parking in Peniscola is almost impossible! One good idea would be to provide their guests, some pings in google maps, with all the known locations, that you can park, either for free, or with parkmeter.

The location was very good, we had a see view from the balcony. The decoration of the room was beautiful and carefully curated. The restaurant of the hotel was fantastic.

The room is quite small, because the shower cubicle and basin are in the actual bedroom, which isn’t immediately obvious from the photos. They also don’t serve breakfast any more, which is a shame as we had read the previous reviews which commented on how good it was. Parking is tricky, there are some free spaces near the city walls in the port area, which a very helpful staff member directed us to after we’d arrived. So all in all €140 per night for a small room with no breakfast seems a little on the high side to be honest. That said, the location is unique and worth a splurge

Tastefully furnished and decorated rooms in a stunning location. The hotel is right on the ramparts, within a historic town, and our room had a gorgeous sea view from windows on two sides.

no issues except for no taxi access on our arrival date - had to carry luggage up the hill but it was fine. taxi was able to meet us on departure. I would stay at least two nights minimum next time! so beautiful!

Lovely , quaint hotel . Gorgeous building with breathtaking views . We visited during the height of the summer season in Peniscola, and the Joanna hotel exceeded my expectations. love the charm of the building , the breakfast with a view could not be beaten . Our room was fabulous! there’s a restaurant downstairs that serves a mouth watering stone grill tuna that’s to die for . Let’s not forget the amazing couple who runs the place… hope I’ll be able to visit again

Location and treatment from the hotel are both amazing. The food at the reataurant is really good quality/price and if u reserve and get a table by the wall...views are nice. Belinda and her family are very welcoming and do their best to accomodete all ur request.I will surely go back and recommend the hotel without a doubt.

The room was very small, but that's how it is in the old city of Peniscola.

Small hotel with a restaurant next to the historic fortifications of Peniscola. The location couldn't be better. Don't skip breakfast - you will miss the greatest attraction of this site. The delicious breakfast was directly on the battlements in front of the hotel with the sea below and a seagull keeping us company. The hotel is run by a young couple - very charming and helpful people, speaking very good English. The rooms are very stylish, they fit perfectly into the historic climate of Peniscola.

This cute boutique hotel was perfectly situated in the Old Town of Peniscola, right on the castle walls with an amazing view of the sea. The owners were just lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Jose made sure we had everything we needed and it really felt like our complete stay was bespoke. The decor of the hotel is beautiful with so much attention to detail and everything was so clean. If you travel by car, park in the market square (but not on a Monday when the market is on) and the hotel is just a short walk up the hill.

Excellent location, fabulous view over the sea, very nice breakfast and overall very friendly and helpful staff. We even managed to check in much earlier. I´ll definitely be back another time.
