Remote area but well suited for peace ands quiet.

Our host, Miriam, was exceptional. Great information on the area with wonderful recommendations. On our day of departure, a Monday, the restaurants in town were closed. She went and made us coffee and breakfast.

the reason that this place was so amazing was because the attention to detail was so different to any other place I had ever stayed the lady that looked after me in check went far beyond what is expected

We loved everything! The communication was great, quick, everything you wish for. The check-in was swift, the reception beyond friendly. The lady gave us tips on how to spend the two days in the area, and we adjusted our plans accordingly. The place is so meticulously clean, you could probably eat off the floor, and I am super picky as a Slavic person. Having said during the check-in I was from Belarus, the next day we found a thank-you not in Belarusian! This is so, so special! Never in my life I have experienced such a great attitude in a hotel. Cannot recommend enough to spend time time there. Everything was great, also close to Guernica, the coast, etc. Just amazing. I do hope we will be back, thank you!

Beautiful property with outside seating and all the amenities you could want. Conveniently located in stunning surroundings. Amazing restaurant nearby for delicious dinner and drinks. Personal touches in the room to make the stay even more special.

Miriam was superhost, so warm and helpful. It is a lovely place to relax. The room with nice decor was clean. Very comfortable beds. We got a welcome drink which we enjoyed on the terrace with a beautiful view. To get back to Camino we took a bus in the morning. Definitely recommend. Thank you for your hospitality!

It exceeded my expectations It was a wonderful and charming surprise. A very nice lady greeted us like expected friends. A very nice room equipped with everything you would expect in at least a four-star hotel. The restaurant served delicious local dishes and wines. I don't like to price my stays, but this time I decided to do it because in my opinion this place is special.

This is located in a tiny village. There is a little bar around the corner. It seemed a little scruffy. We returned to the hotel to have a drink and inquired if there were any other restaurants to eat at in the area. They said their own restaurant would be open at 9pm. This restaurant is located at the back of the rather scruffy bar. We were amazed when we walked through and were greeted by a massive dining room, white table cloth. The food and service was exceptional. What a hidden gem. They should have a picture of this dining room in the lobby and a menu. The room was fabulous too!!

The hospitality! We were welcomed with open arms. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Outdoors you can enjoy the view and peacefull surroundings while reading a book in one of the super comforable sofas. Strongly recommend this place when you want to visit Bilbao and the basque country.

Hotel Katxi is a hidden gem! I picked it because it was between Guernica and Bilboa. And, what a great pick it was! Miriam, the receptionist, housekeeper, maintenance, and overall amazing hostess, was terrific! She was so gracious. Helped us with directions, places not to miss, and restaurants. She also gave us instructions to our hotel in Bilboa! The hotel is beautiful situated in the countryside - so it was just heaven - so quiet! And the restaurant attached, delicious! I can't recommend Hotel Katxi enough!!
