Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainWe knew there was no parking, so it would be useful to have an idea of where best to park in advance. Dropping bags off outside is easy to do and we parked a short walk away down the hill opposite the Santander bank which was fine for us. So not really a dislike!
Ease of check in. The whole place was beautifully decorated with care and attention and to such a high standard. Our room was superb even though it was the smallest one! The suites look even more fabulous for the extra cost. We loved the location being right in the centre of the town and next to the square. We were there in low season (which was reflected in the price we paid)so didn't have the offer of breakfast and the bodega wasn't open. We'd definitely go back to sample both having seen the photos.

IrelandNothing, everything perfect.
Amazing little hotel right in the centre of Mula. The hotel was so lovely, the patio in the back was so cute and the pool looked really nice - unfortunately it was too cold outside still to use during my stay but will definitely be back in the summer! Overall, this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. The room is large and comfortable, the balcony has a nice view of the plaza, and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

GermanyWe didn't like that it was time to leave! There was nothing not to like at this property ... can't stress it enough, top notch!
WOW! Everything was top-notch, perfect! Great location, comfortable room, wonderful décor, delicious breakfast, outstanding wine & tapas experience, but far above all ... amazing hosts! If you're considering this property, look no further ... just book it! We travel the world and stay at a few properties a month ... this is our favourite bed & breakfast ... by far!

United KingdomParking is difficult, don't attempt to get onto the narrow streets in the old town.
Absolutely beautiful little hotel with historic importance, right in the centre of the old town. The lovely hosts treat you as a part of the family and do anything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We made the most of the wonderful courtyard with a bar and small pool, and if they had served food, I don't think we would have bothered leaving the hotel at all! This place really is a little slice of bohemian chic heaven!

Just fantastic. The owners couple show the upmost care for their guests. They are humorous and have a great sense for interior design. The place breathes history but is enriched with eclectic but fitting pieces of art and brocante. They try to work with eco friendly food and things which shows a great appreciation for the beautiful side of Spain. If you ever grow tired of the tourist-ridden and - unfortunately - heavily polluted coastlines, this is the place to be. Mula is a quiet place with not so much going on. But it breathes history and the nearby restaurants serve fine dishes. Normally I would not recommend any place since I detest mass tourism and rather keep moments and places for myself. But these marvellous owners just deserve all the credit for their project and I wish them many happy guests. If there is any future for tourism in Spain, in harmony with the beauty of its country, this pretty much sets the example.

United KingdomIt was difficult to work put where to park as the streets of Mula are narrow, and when we visited several roads were closed, blocking our planned route. We eventually found a place to park about 4 minutes walk away, a bit uneven but cost-free, in a car park opposite the Bar Salazar - from there you have to walk up a steep street with narrow pavements, not ideal to drag cases up, but this was only a minor inconvenience for the pleasure of staying in such an amazing place.
The house was beautiful and our hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Our room was huge and decorated with antiques and full of character. We were spoilt with drinks from the bar, and a welcoming bottle of local white wine (which was very good). There was a bit of a heatwave when we were there and our hosts made sure we had plenty of cold water and even brought us some fresh fruit and yoghurt. There is a sitting room, a terrace, and a small pool which is lovely for a cool dip on a hot day, and a bar offering a variety of drinks (self-service with an Alexa to play the music of your choice). The whole place is romantic and also well-situated in the centre of Mula old town with restaurants a few doors down. When they discovered that we liked cats, we also made the acquaintance of our hosts' rescue cat who was very friendly. Breakfasts included lavish amounts of high quality ingredients including freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent croissants and home-made madeleines, really nice toast with a choice of cheese and ham etc.. Delicious!
