It was out of season, so the restaurant was not open. The town was like a ghost town, I am sure in the summer there would be more activity 😀

El Burgo is tiny and had few bars / shops only but as we were doing over on a bike tour, that was fine. We didn't try their restaurant.

Gorgeous old building. Very comfortable room with a proper bath. Breakfast was a simple buffet but quite adequate. I left my passport behind and communication was great re getting it back to me.

We are 2 people and were put in a room with 4 beds and a crib. I don't think there were many guests that night...so maybe put us in something smaller?

We liked the location and the breakfast man in the morning. Super nice guy. The breakfast was very basic but great for our liking.

it’s a small thing but we had to ring the bell each time to get in. I would rather have my own key.

the house is an incredible traditional townhouse with beamed ceilings and a central courtyard. the room was clean and quiet. we enjoyed our stay.

Uncomfortable bed with sheets that didn't fit. Basin taps in bathroom extremely difficult to turn off, tap fitting needs repair.

Good location, fine for a one night stopover. Excellent meal at restaurant Carpe Diem which is a short walk over the bridge. We paid around 55 euros for the night, I wouldn't want to be paying any more.

The staff at this hotel went the extra mile by arranging an early breakfast for us so we could get up and go on our 24km hike to Ronda

I had asked for a quiet location but I was in a small area with four rooms off a little corridor and it was very noisy when other guests came in and out of their rooms. Soundproofing between the rooms wasn't very good and I could hear the people in the adjacent room.

The staff I met were very helpful - on reception and also the gentleman in the breakfast room - and the breakfast was very good - toast, local cheese and ham, tomato, coffee, juice - all delicious. The rooms were comfortable and there was a hair dryer supplied too (which was an added bonus). The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm with an adjustable radiator and also a wall heater/air con. There was a small terrace with tables and chairs which would be good in the summer months. The location is very central.

Given this was 30% more than anywhere else we've stayed in the last 5 weeks in Spain we had high hopes. Disappointed to have to ask for toilet paper for our ensuite. Water off from middle of the night (which I guess is not the hotels fault) but no explanation, apology or instant provision of other water - such as bottled water presented too us.

Reception staff on arrival helpful and they stored our bikes indoors.

Lack of information, it felt very off the tourist track which was great but it also made it hard to find anything out. Now I’m sure if I could speak fluent Spanish I’d have been fine but my small amount was only sufficient to find a supermarket but no hot food. It was a Monday so perhaps everything shuts?

Breakfast needed improving and beds not great but ok for one night! Pricey for what we had but staff were kind and helpful.

More than adequate one night stop lovely roaring fire in entrance staff were very helpful and sorted transport when needed in the pouring rain (we’d been walking coast to coast, breakfast disappointing but likely best place in town.

Casa Grande is an old house, well kept up, with beautiful wood doors and ceilings. The room was nice and big, and very comfortable. Great central location, but not too noisy. 2 chairs and a table in room.

The rooms are really overpriced for what you get. I guess they can get away with it because there isn't any competiton! For breakfast, it's 4 euros... we didn't realise that when they offered us a second baguette (literally bread with tomato) that would cost us another 4 euros each - we had to push back on this. Plus the other options available at breakfast were low quality and super cheapy. Also, if you want to come in and out, no matter when - you have to ring the doorbell as there is no key system.

The house is beautiful and our room was spacious and clean, overlooking a terrace area.

The restaurant was closed, which wasn't stated at the time of booking. They did offer breakfast, but it did not meet expectations, and represented poor value for money - we would have done better at a cafe in the town where they would have served decent coffee! The room was very basic and there were not even tooth mugs or bath plugs, the toilet and one bedside light didn't work properly.

It was a lovely old building with lots of character, in the very heart of El Burgo. The room was small but surprsiingly quiet given the location, and with a lovely view. The staff were friendly and helpful.
