The electricity kept cutting out on our first day, in spite of not having much running. It is possible this was fixed by the owners by increasing their tariff, although we didn't test it fully and had to turn off the radiators to boil the kettle or use the cooker. Although the house is generally charming, the facilities are basic and sometimes broken, for example the kitchen cupboard, the clothes drying rack, and the drainage from both the sinks is poor, making washing up and use of the bathroom sink difficult. It is difficult to carry luggage up the spiral stairs. The wood heater is efficient but makes the whole house smell strange. Many of these issues are easily fixable, and in the summer we think the house would be nice and cool. With some modernisation it would be very nice to stay in.

Sweet little house with very helpful owners. We believe we were the first guests after a long-term rental. It was generally comfortable. Downstairs are a living room, a small basic kitchen and a shower room. Upstairs are the two good-sized bedrooms, accessed by a very narrow spiral staircase. The house is heated with portable electric radiators and a woodstove in the living room, which are enough to keep the house warm, although the bathroom is cold. There is plenty of hot water via a gas boiler. The main bedroom is spacious and the bed is comfortable (we didn't try the other beds). There is good storage in the bedrooms. The seating area has a sofa which appears to be a short single bed as well. The location is good within Cazalla, and if you are driving you should approach the house from the wider end of the road, where there is ample parking. You can't park outside the house as the road is narrow here, but that makes it peaceful.
