Very friendly hostess. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Quaint old renovated property ideally located to explore the Picos de Europa. If you do have your own vehicle, the narrow streets are best suited to something small. Dinner option available at a nearby campsite within walking distance, that has a basic but adequate restaurant.

Driving the car to the hotel was challenging, the streets are very small. No parking in front of the hotel, but further up the hill. A camper would not be possible to navigate I think. At the suggestion of our host we went for dinner in the restaurant at the camping at the bottom of the hill, but their menu at night was very limited.

The ladies running the hotel are lovely. Breakfast was great, with delicious local fried dough balls (we forgot the name) in fantastic setting. The whole hotel looks simply gorgeous. So much attention to atmosphere and detail! It's a pity we only stayed one night.

It was a beautiful old characterful house lovingly cared for and very comfortable. It is in a very rural setting and the mountain views from the bedroom window were fantastic. We had a lovely breakfast and the owner couldn’t do enough for us.

The wi-fi signal was very very bad in the bedrooms. The bedroom itself was small. It was cozy and clean, but a bit on the smaller side. If you are going by car, beware that you need to pass through a narrow road and drive up to park. But it was convenient that there is a free parking possibility of course. The place is a 10 min drive from Potes, and there isnt much there itself, but a good option to stay at during your visit to Picos de Europa.

The staff is extremely courteous, welcoming and accommodating. We arrived much later than initially anticipated due to some travel delays, but the lady was waiting for us at the reception to check us in and to make sure we had everything. She also gave us advise on a place to eat close by for a late dinner. The shower was amazing :D

The beds were a little bit hard but nothing that may not be fixed with some additional cushion. There was also a lot of noise coming from a camping area in the other side of the road, but not their fault and I guess is probably worse during summer vacations because of the kids. We ate in the camping site twice and the food was decent. You can go walking to the camping site is just across the street. You can also buy beers, wine or other goodies. Potes in around 5 minutes by car.

We like the vibe of the hotel it felt like being visiting relatives. The hotel is small and the owner is the one that serves the breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is simple but with just what you need for a fresh start. She makes some fresh pastries that were very good. The room was very spacious and adequate for my husband, me and 11 year old daughter.

We loved our stay at La Casona de Baró. Ana, our host was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and charming. The Casona is well situated in the gorgeous Picos de Europa, and the Fuente Dé tram is relatively close by. A great value with lots of charm.
